I felt the fear rise within me, feeling my body twitch from the touch. Then, the man sitting next to me at the table came forward.
"Hey, Taylor," he said kindly, and I relaxed a bit.
"Hey," I replied.
"I'm Tom. I teach math."
I could tell with his small checkered blue shirt. he literally radiated math teacher. "Nice to meet you," I responded.
"I like your dress," he said, placing a hand on my thigh. "It accentuates your figure so well," he continued.
I began to feel uncomfortable in the situation. "Can I get you a drink?" he asked politely, still with his hand on my thigh.
"No, actually..." I started to speak, but I was interrupted by Travis "Actually, She was about to go back to the table." He placed his hand on my shoulder, and I smiled at him. It was a "thank you for helping me" smile. I felt more comfortable with his hand on my shoulder, and Tom removed his hand from me.
"Right, Taylor?" Travis asked.
"Yes, exactly," I replied. I picked up the glasses that were already on the counter, stood up, and looked Tom in the eyes. "It was nice meeting you," I said, turning around to look into Travis's green eyes, which were like a peaceful haven for me. "Thank you," I whispered to him softly.
"No need to thank me," he said, gently placing his hand around my waist and glancing back over his shoulder to look Tom directly in the eyes.
We went back to our seats, and I sat closer to Travis to avoid being near Tom.
After a few minutes, our food finally arrived, and it looked so delicious. Then, throughout the room, the clinking of a wine glass was heard.
"May I have your attention, please? Before we start eating, I'd like to say a few words. I hope the new school year has started well for everyone, and I also hope the newcomers have settled in reasonably well. I want to give a big thanks to Miss Swift for doing the music project at our school this year. It is a great honor for me as the principal, as well as for our school. Okay, now I wish you all a good appetite," he concluded his short speech, and everyone applauded.
"Enjoy your meal, Taylor," I heard from Travis's side. I smiled slightly and wished him a good appetite as well. We all ate our meal, and everyone was engaged in conversation, including me. I talked the whole time with Sophie, the young teacher who sat across from me. She seemed very nice, and we got along very well.
Eventually, I finished eating and noticed how my eyes were becoming heavier. "Are you full?" Travis asked me, and I nodded.
"Taylor, you look tired. Should I drive you home?" he asked, and I nodded again. "That would be very kind of you."
"Alright, then. We don't want you falling asleep here," he said with a smile. I stood up, said goodbye to everyone, as did Travis.
"Okay, are you ready?" I asked. He looked at me confused. "Well, about the paparazzi. pictures and videos were taken of us entering the restaurant earlier. There's going to be a large crowd outside now."
He nodded and confidently strutted towards the exit, opening the door for me. Then it began. all the flashes and shouting people. They were calling my name, and of course, they didn't overlook Travis either. It wouldn't be long before we made it into the newspapers, but I'm ignoring that for now. I just want to get to my bed.
Travis led me to his car. I thanked and said goodbye to my bodyguards, and Travis opened the door for me. I got in and waited until he got in on the other side.
"Wow, that was intense. How do you always manage that? There were so many people," I said.
I smiled slightly and replied, "You get used to it."
Travis drove off, and I felt the fatigue taking over until I was no longer aware of anything and my eyes closed.
Travis:
At some point, Taylor's breathing became more even and calm. I turned my gaze away from the road to look at her and found her peacefully asleep in the passenger seat. She looks so sweet when she's sleeping. We didn't have much farther to go, so I parked the car in front of Taylor's apartment, got out, and decided to carry her upstairs because I didn't want to wake her.
My arms wrapped around her warm body, and I walked up the stairs to her door. I somehow managed to ring the doorbell, and Selena, Selena Gomez, opened the door for me. I never thought I'd experience this moment. standing here with a beautiful woman in my arms, and Selena Gomez's gaze fixed on us.
"Um, hello," she asked, confused and smiling. "I didn't know Taylor was on a date."
I started laughing softly at the misunderstanding. "No, well... Taylor wasn't on a date. I'm a teacher at the school where she's doing the project. The staff went out to dinner tonight, and I drove her home because she looked tired, and then she fell asleep in the passenger seat. But I didn't want to wake her because she seemed to need the sleep," I explained.
Selena grinned at me. "That's really sweet of you. Come in, I'll show you where Taylor's room is."
I followed her into the apartment, and we went up to the second floor. because of course, the apartment has multiple floors, and each woman has her own level. Selena showed me Taylor's room, and I gently placed her on her bed, carefully removing her high heels and placing them far enough away so she wouldn't trip over them in the morning.
"Okay, well," I said, "I think I'm done here."
Selena started laughing. "No, you're not. Come with me." She led me into the living room, and we sat down on the couch. "Why did you do that?"
I looked at her, confused. "What do you mean?"
"Why did you drive her home and carry her upstairs?"
I smiled and replied, "Well, I guess I'm just a nice person, and I like to take care of the people who are close to me."
Selena listened intently. "Do you like her?" she asked.
I thought for a moment, but deep down, I knew the answer from the first time I bumped into her in the school hallway. "She's kind," I said. "She's got a great sense of humor, she's helpful, and she's a beautiful woman. Of course I do."
"Let me guess, you're the sports teacher?" she asked with a smile.
"Yeah, that's me. Why, did she tell you about me?" I asked, my eyes lighting up with hope.
"Yeah, once or twice," Selena replied, smiling. I grinned and suddenly had an idea.
"Do you think I could ask Taylor out on a date? I mean, you're her best friend, you'd know best," I asked.
Selena smiled and nodded. "Absolutely. But don't take her to a restaurant. she doesn't like being around too many people if the evening and the person she's with are important. Invite her over to your place instead."
I nodded and thanked her for the advice. "Alright, I'll head home now. I have to be up early tomorrow, and please make sure Taylor doesn't oversleep again. Oh, and tell her not to make herself coffee. I'll take care of that."
Selena nodded, and I said my goodbyes. "Good night," I said politely.
"Good night!" she called after me as I left, heading back to my car and driving home.
