Taylor:
The grand ballroom of the Grammys was an overwhelming kaleidoscope of light, sound, and energy. As Travis and I entered hand in hand, the sheer magnificence of the space struck me. The crystal chandeliers overhead refracted the light like tiny constellations, casting a soft glow over the room. The tables were adorned with elegant floral arrangements, gold accents catching the glimmer of the room's ambient light.
The buzz of conversation filled the air as artists, actors, and other luminaries mingled before taking their seats. Travis's hand was warm and steady in mine, a small but grounding reassurance amid the whirlwind of activity.
As we made our way through the room, faces turned toward us, some with smiles, others with curious glances. It was impossible to ignore the palpable excitement in the room, though I did my best to keep my focus on Travis and the moments unfolding around us.
"Taylor! Travis!" a familiar voice called out. I turned to see Sza , her black hair catching the light as she beamed at us. She looked effortlessly chic in a dress, her bold lipstick adding a touch of glamour.
"Sza!" I exclaimed, letting go of Travis's hand briefly to pull her into a hug.
"You look stunning, as always," she said, stepping back and giving me an appreciative once-over. Her gaze shifted to Travis. "And you clean up nicely too, Travis. Not bad for a teacher."
Travis chuckled, his arm slipping around my waist again. "I'll take that as a compliment. You're looking pretty sharp yourself."
Sza laughed, her eyes twinkling. "Well, I'll leave you two lovebirds to it. Don't forget to save me a dance later, Taylor."
"Wouldn't dream of it," I replied, smiling as she disappeared back into the crowd.
We continued toward our table, stopping briefly when we spotted Harry Styles chatting with Lana near the edge of the room. Lana's laughter rang out as she gestured animatedly, and Harry's grin widened when he noticed us.
"Taylor, love! Travis, good to see you!" Lana greeted us warmly. Her sequined gown sparkled with every movement.
"Good to see you both," I said, exchanging quick hugs with them. The conversation was brief but full of warmth, a testament to the camaraderie we all shared in moments like these.
Finally, we reached our table. Selena was already seated, her face lighting up as soon as she saw me.
"Taylor!" she exclaimed, jumping up to pull me into a tight embrace. "I missed you so much."
"I missed you too," I murmured, squeezing her tightly. "How's New York treating you?"
"Busy as ever, but you know me I thrive on chaos," she replied with a laugh before turning to Travis. "And you! Come here."
Travis smiled, stepping forward to give her a warm hug. "It's good to see you, Selena."
As we took our seats, I noticed the students settling in at their nearby table. They looked wide-eyed and overwhelmed but excited, their whispered conversations buzzing with nervous energy. Tree, my assistant, sat with them, her calm demeanor helping to anchor their excitement.
"Taylor," Selena said, leaning toward me. "You've got quite the entourage tonight. Lucky kids."
"They're incredible," I replied, glancing over my shoulder to see Tory chatting animatedly with Tree. "They've worked so hard to get here."
Selena smiled warmly and leaned further over to catch the students' attention. "So, are you all excited?" she asked.
Every head at the table nodded enthusiastically, and one of the boys said, "This is like a dream."
"It's only going to get better," Selena assured them before turning to me with a playful smile. "So, is Taylor a good teacher?"
Tory, ever the bold one, grinned and said, "The best. She's the heart of our school."
I felt my cheeks flush slightly as I smiled at her. "Thank you, Tory. That means a lot."
Selena laughed, clearly charmed. "You've got quite the fan club, Taylor."
The room began to fill up as more stars trickled in, the atmosphere growing more charged with anticipation. Travis's hand found its way to my leg, his palm warm through the delicate fabric of my dress. I glanced at him, and the corner of his mouth lifted in a small, knowing smile.
"You okay?" he asked softly.
"I'm good," I replied. "How about you?"
"Never better," he said, his voice low and intimate. "Especially sitting next to the most beautiful woman in the room."
I rolled my eyes, but I couldn't help the smile that crept onto my face. "You're shameless, Kelce."
He grinned. "Only for you, Swift."
His hand slid up to cup the side of my face, his thumb brushing lightly against my cheekbone. I leaned into his touch, savoring the moment before our lips met in a gentle kiss. The noise of the room faded into the background, leaving just the two of us in our little bubble.
"All right, lovebirds, don't overdo it," Margaret Qualley's teasing voice broke through, making us both laugh.
Selena added with a mock groan, "Yeah, no offense, but I'd rather not watch my teachers making out."
The table erupted into laughter, and Travis and I shared a sheepish smile before settling back into our seats. His hand found mine again, his thumb brushing over my knuckles in soothing circles.
"You've got this," he murmured, his voice steady and reassuring.
A few minutes later, Tory and some of the other students made their way over to our table, their nervous energy palpable.
"Mrs. Swift," Tory began, her voice a mix of excitement and apprehension, "we just wanted to say thank you for bringing us here. It means so much."
"You earned this," I replied, reaching out to take her hands in mine. "Tory, you're going to shine out there. I believe in you. We all do."
Her eyes glistened as she nodded, squeezing my hands tightly. "Thank you. That means everything."
Travis chimed in, his tone warm and encouraging. "You've got this, Tory. Just take a deep breath and do what you do best. You're here for a reason."
Tree added from the students' table, "We're all rooting for you. Just remember to have fun."
The students beamed, their nerves seeming to ease slightly as they returned to their seats.
As the room continued to fill, the anticipation built. The red carpet cameras outside still captured the arrivals, but inside, it was a space of camaraderie and shared excitement. Travis leaned closer, his lips brushing my temple.
"You're going to be amazing " he said softly.
I turned to him, my heart swelling with gratitude and love. "With you by my side, I can do anything."
He smiled, his thumb brushing over my hand again. And for a moment, all the chaos around us faded away, leaving only the certainty of his presence and the promise of the night ahead.
