Taylor:
The next morning, I woke up in my bed, having no idea how I got there. I turned off the annoying beeping of my alarm and crawled out from under my blanket, only to realize that I was still wearing my dress from the night before. Confused, I looked into the hot summer sun streaming through my window and made my way to the bathroom. I looked terrible, I had to admit. I got ready, and since it was supposed to be very hot today, I decided on a short denim skirt, a white blouse, and white heels to go with it.
I went downstairs to the kitchen to make myself a coffee when suddenly Selena came running toward me. "Taylor, Taylor, hurry, you're late!" she shouted. I was completely overwhelmed because I thought I was on time. I grabbed my things and ran to the door. "Bye, babes!" Selena called after me, and I rushed to the car, where my driver greeted me and drove me to school.
But when I arrived in the classroom, no one was there, not even Travis. I sighed and looked at my phone: 20 MINUTES EARLY! My thoughts screamed at me. Why did Selena think I was late? Oh well. I sat down in my chair and heard the door open. I looked to the side and saw Travis. "Good morning, Taylor," he said with a smile. I smiled back, "Good morning."
"Coffee to go?" he asked and placed the coffee in front of me. He continued rummaging through the bag and pulled out a sandwich, placing it in front of me as well. "Thank you, but why?" I asked, confused. "I think you're hungry, Taylor, and when you're hungry, you need to eat, don't you?" He smiled, and he looked so cute when he did. His smile radiated peace, and I loved it.
"I guess I should just accept it, huh?" I asked, and he nodded proudly. Then he started speaking again. "There's a game after class today, do you want to come? My boys are playing today, and they're really excited. They even asked me to invite you." I looked at him, thought for a moment, and then nodded. "Cool, will you come with me right after class?" he asked. "Yeah, sure. I still don't know where anything is, so that would be really helpful."
"Okay, good. Sorry for talking so much, but I wanted to tell you something else. I really enjoyed having dinner with you
yesterday, and maybe we could do it again, somewhere quieter?" he asked, and I blushed. Travis Kelce is actually asking me out on a date, I thought, smiling. "You know, Taylor, I really like you, and I feel something between us. So why not give it a try?" he asked and placed a hand on my knee.
"Yes, Travis, that sounds nice. What did you have in mind? Where would we meet?" I asked. "Maybe at my place? I could send you my address. We could cook something together and maybe watch a movie or something," he suggested. I love it when men put in the effort. This man has really managed to wrap me around his finger in just three days. He knows me so well already, but in reality, we barely know each other. "That sounds good. Tomorrow?" I asked. "Yeah, or today, if you want," he said. "You'll probably be exhausted from coaching after the game, and I still have a few things to do. So tomorrow sounds good," I replied.
"Okay, great! I'm looking forward to it," he said. I placed my hand on his, which was still resting on my knee. We looked deep into each other's eyes, and I noticed how his gaze slowly drifted down toward my lips. His eyes burned into my skin. Just then, the door opened, and we both pulled back. The girls came in giggling, greeting us. "Good morning, Miss Swift. Good morning, Coach Kelce," they said politely. Travis and I said "Good morning" at the same time, and we immediately looked at each other.
The students slowly started filling the classroom, and I pulled out my guitar. In front of me was the crumpled bag with my sandwich still in it. I picked it up, but I felt a gentle touch as Travis grabbed the bag. He looked down at me, of course, being taller than I was. "I'll take care of this," he said. "Thank you," I replied, smiling.
He then sat back down on the chair that was still by my desk. All the students were already in the room, and everyone was focused, except for Travis. He was busy with his phone. I walked over to one of the empty school desks and leaned against it. The entire class had their eyes on Travis. I cleared my throat, and he looked up, startled. Everyone started laughing, including me.
"Mr. Kelce, class has already started. No phones allowed in class, unless I permit it. And if you break the rules, I'm afraid I'll have to take it away," I said confidently, as if I weren't his colleague but rather his boss. The girls in the class giggled. "Sorry, Miss Swift," he replied. I straightened up and walked back to my desk with a victorious smile, and began the lesson.
"Can someone tell me what to keep in mind when writing a song?" I asked the class. "Tory, please," I requested a girl in the class.
She began to speak: "First, you need to choose a theme. You need to know what you want to write about."
"Exactly, very good. Anyone else?" I asked the class.
Everyone started laughing, and I looked at them in confusion until I saw who they were all looking at. I turned around and saw Travis sitting on his chair, and he raised his hand. I started to let him speak.
"Mr. Kelce, please, what do you want to say?" I asked him.
"You need to find a melody that fits the lyrics. You can create it yourself, for example, with a guitar," he said.
I smiled, because he was thinking about what I wanted to show him—how to play the guitar. "Thank you, those are two very good suggestions. Now, let's wrap it up for today. See you tomorrow," I said, and the school bell rang. All the students stood up and hurriedly packed their things, eager to be on time for the game.
I went behind my desk and started to pack up my things, and Travis also stood up and came over to me. "Can you make it to the sports field on your own, or should I accompany you?" he asked while placing a hand on my hip.
"We can accompany you, Miss Swift," the girls said.
Travis gave my hip a gentle squeeze, threw me a smile, and left the room. I felt the warmth building up in my cheeks. He's so sweet.
I finished packing up my things and was asked by Tory if she should carry my guitar. "That would be very kind, but be careful," I said. She nodded, and the three girls and I left the classroom and went down to the sports field, where there were already many people.
I scanned the crowd for Travis and didn't have to search long before my eyes met his. He waved me over. "Do you want to come with me, or do you want to go to your friends?"
They said they didn't want to disturb me and preferred to go to their friends, which I understood. I walked over to Travis, who had also changed. He was now wearing beige pants and a green top with the team's name on it.
"Hey," he greeted me. His eyes sparkled, and I loved the sight. "You look great," I said.
"Thanks, you do too," he replied. "Tay, I need to get to my guys now. You can sit on the bench back there. I'll come to you at halftime," he explained.
But I didn't catch half of what he said because I was focused on one thing. "Tay," I said with a smile.
Travis blushed. "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to—well, I wanted—"
I interrupted him by placing my index finger on his lips. "Shhh... I like it," I said. He smiled and then went over to his team.
