Juliana Woodland and Nate Jacobs have been best friends for as long as they can remember.
They are now in their junior year at East Highland High School and things are starting to get complicated.

Juliana, Maddy, Cassie, Kat and BB and talked and laughed and drank- a lot- in Maddy's bedroom until they decided it was an appropriate time to head to the party, about an hour after it started.
"Who else wants to catch a dick tonight?" Maddy asked with a grin as they made their way to McKay's house.
She had just recently broken up with the guy she was seeing all summer, and was ready to forget about him.
The girls made whooping noises and Juliana raised her hand, giggling. "Me!"
"Yes bitch, you need it more than I do, I can't believe you're still a virgin, I say we find someone to fix that tonight." Maddy winked at her.
"Let's do it," Juliana giggled again and the girls started chattering about potential guys that would be there.
The last time she even kissed a boy was months ago, when she went on a few dates with someone she met through Maddy's boyfriend. They didn't go any further than that before he ghosted her.
It's not like guys weren't interested in her, but everyone at school knew that if they tried to pursue her, they would have Nate to deal with.
When they arrived at McKay's, the party was all ready in full swing, with music blaring and the house overflowing with people. Juliana forgot to text Nate that she was on the way. He was inside with McKay and a few of the other guys.
Nate liked to drink but he usually didn't get completely wasted since he liked being in control too much, and more importantly keep his eye on Juliana, who would more than likely drink more than she should.
He would normally drink enough to get a nice buzz, but not get plastered. Since he wasn't with her tonight, though, he let loose a bit more than usual.
The girls immediately went to the kitchen, where there was all kinds of alcohol littered on the counter. Juliana went to the fridge and dug her drinks out of the back, where Nate said he would stash them for her.
They all whooped some more as they lined up some shot glasses and filled them sloppily with tequila.
"Let's dance!" Juliana exclaimed, making her way to where there was a makeshift dance floor in the living room.
Maddy and BB followed her, while Cassie went to find McKay and Kat disappeared altogether.
Maddy eyed up a tall guy with black hair and a beer in hand who she recognized from the other high school in town. "He's hot, and he keeps looking at you." She nudged Juliana.
She glanced over to see that he was checking her out in a very obvious way. She smiled at him and he made his way over. Once he was in front of her, he leaned down to speak over the loud music.
"Hey, I'm Cody, and I have to say I haven't been able to stop looking at you since you came in."
"I'm Juliana." She replied, trying not to show how drunk she was.
