Although every time he asked her if she was good, Avery would offer him a small smile and say she was fine, Omar knew otherwise. Weeks had passed since Marcus and Brooke showed up at her father's birthday get-together, but it still weighed heavily on her mind.

While the weekend wouldn't necessarily be theirs, Omar had taken Avery along with him to spend it in the Hamptons to celebrate the engagement of his friend Devon and his fiancée Joan.

"We're not flying up to the Hamptons to meet up with everyone else until later this evening, so I figured we could spend the day getting lost in the city before we catch our flight," Omar suggested as he walked into the bedroom of their hotel suite overlooking the bustling city streets, joining Avery.

Sitting down on the edge of the bed he reached for her, wrapping his hand around her ankle so he could  gently massage it. Avery let out a small sigh of relief, leaning back against the soft pillows as she closed her eyes. The tension that had been building up in her disappeared, if only for a moment, under Omar's soothing touch.

"Thank you," she whispered, opening her eyes to look at him. "I needed to get out of Atlanta for a second."

Omar smiled at her, his eyes full of understanding and love. "You're welcome, baby," he said softly, raising her ankle so he could press a soft kiss to the inside of it.

Turning over onto his hands and knees, Omar crawled up the bed towards Avery, slowly kissing his way up her legs, unable to resist her as she lay there.

Avery's breath hitched as she felt Omar's warm lips leaving a trail of gentle kisses along her skin. She reached out to tangle her fingers in his hair, a soft gasp escaping her lips as he reached her inner thigh. His touch was tender and reverent, each kiss sending shivers down her spine.

As he made his way up to her lips, Avery's heart raced with a mixture of desire and relief. In this moment, with Omar by her side, she felt safe and cherished. Their connection was deep and unspoken, a silent understanding passing between them as their lips finally met in a sweet and passionate kiss.

"Shopping first and then tonight I promise to fuck you until you can't handle it," Omar whispered against her lips, his voice husky with desire. Avery's eyes widened in surprise before a playful smile tugged at her lips.

"Deal," she replied, her voice filled with anticipation. "But who said I can't handle it?" Avery asked with a mischievous glint in her eyes, a challenge evident in her tone.

Omar chuckled, his own eyes sparkling with amusement and desire. "Talk your shit now," he teased, leaning in to capture her lips in a deep and passionate kiss that left them both breathless, before he helped her up from the bed.

Grabbing her clothes that she'd already laid out for the day, Avery made her way into the bathroom to get ready for their day of exploring the city together.
