Up and Over

Sometimes I'm so cold
Shivering and blue
Like and Eskimo
Or a Polar Bear
It moves itself into my bones
And shakes me until I'm limp
It turns me to an icicle
Then drops me from high up
Then I shatter
That's how most things seem to end
It's good and all
Then suddenly, BAM!
I'm all over the floor, in sharp pieces
I'm never fully put back together
And just when the last of me is all picked up and glued back on
There I go again.
What if I freeze?
If someday someone finds me frozen to the bone
What would they think?
"Her soul was sad."?
"Her mind was tired."?
"She tried too hard to be warm and got colder every day."?
It's possible they're all true.
For I am a snowman in the winter
With my carrot nose and stone smile
I stopped and froze
And no body knows.
