A/N: Hey lovelies... It's been a minute... I've been going through a lot of personal issues the past few months, but I'm doing better now, and I'm finally getting back into writing.

I really need to thank RavenAryaAmaranth for her help in directing this story, and keeping me from deleting the whole thing... Thank you!🥰💖

I hope you all enjoy some Marjoreece.

Marjorie had been out of sorts for the last few days. She kept trying to think of what had changed to be causing her to be feeling this way, but she had no idea what was causing it. Maybe she was getting sick? Maybe she was stressed? It was getting close to her time of the month, so maybe it was just that? Whatever it was, everyone around her could tell that something was going on.

When Autumn came into work on Thursday morning, she was shocked to see Marjorie leaning over a trash can placed between her legs, her arms on her thighs, holding her head in her hands, quietly mumbling to herself.

"Marjorie," Autumn said, placing her things down on her desk before turning to address her dear friend further. "Are you alright? What's going on?" Autumn asked, walking over and placing a hand on Marjorie's arm, trying to comfort her.

Marjorie lifted her head out of her hands, and Autumn looked at her, her eyes widening at the state of the poorly manager. "I'm fine, Autumn. At least, I think I am now. I just haven't felt right this morning, and now I guess I know why. I feel much better now, though." Marjorie said, trying to convince Autumn that she was fine, but after the look she got from her, she knew that Autumn could see right through her facade.

"Marjorie, you most certainly are not fine. What's going on? " Autumn asked, staring the brunette down waiting for her answer. Marjorie cracked a small smile at her friend.

"I'm fine, Autumn. Honestly, I should probably go to the doctors. Would you take me? I'm not sure I should drive." Marjorie said. Autumn nodded and began to collect their things. "Autumn? Let's not worry Reece with it at the moment, though, alright? He tends to get a bit... unhinged when he knows that I'm sick." Marjorie said, giggling a bit at the last part.

Autumn smiled back at her. "I know, he is my big brother, remember? He is like that with me as well, even to this day." she said, and Marjorie nodded in agreement. "Alright. I will grab our things and go get Charlotte to cover the office for the day. You go get in my car." Autumn said, handing Marjorie the keys to her Jag.

When Autumn told Charlotte what was going on, Char had no problem jumping in and running the nursery for the day. Once all was sorted, Autumn hurried out to the car to take Marjorie to the doctors. When they arrived, Marjorie explained her symptoms and filled out the required paperwork before sitting in the waiting area for her name to be called.

As the nurse called out Marjorie's name after only ten short minutes, Marjorie looked over to Autumn with a panicked look on her face. Autumn just nodded her head and stood with the brunette to walk back with her to the examination room. After taking her vitals and doing a general questionnaire-type check in, the nurse left after informing them that the doctor would be with them momentarily.

A few moments later, there was a soft knocking on the door before the doctor stepped into the room and introduced herself. "Hello, Mrs. Knight! I'm Dr. Michaelson, and I'll be taking care of you today. It says here you have been quite ill the past few days. Let's get some tests run, and look you over, and we will get this all sorted as quickly as we can. I know I wouldn't want to be sick longer than I have to, so I like to ensure I get my patients feeling better as quickly as possible. How does that sound to you?" she asked, smiling warmly at Marjorie.

"That sounds like a wonderful idea to me, Doctor. Thank you," she said, weakly smiling at the blonde haired doc.

The doctor placed orders for multiple tests, had the nurse come back in and draw blood for the labs, and had Marjorie leave a urine sample for some other tests. "Alright Marjorie. I've got everything set on a STAT status for your results, so if you don't mind waiting, we should get them all back within about fifteen minutes, and we can figure out a course of action from there," Dr. Michaelson explained with a smile.

"Thank you, Doctor," Marjorie replied as the doc left the room.
