I tried running away
I tried running away from my past, but the darkness swallowed me whole.
I tried forgetting, but there was always a reminder staring back at me when I looked at my reflection in the mirror.
I tried running
From the pain.
From the hurt.
From the heartache.
From the truth of who I really was.Now the reflection of a little girl who endured suffering stares back at me.
The little girl who should have been protected from what she saw.A little girl whose ears should've been held closed, so she wouldn't hear the tortured screams of her innocence fading.
A little girl whose innocence was snatched from her at a very young age.
A little girl who lost sigth of her reality and began making jp her own
Only to escape the deep , dark pit of despair that was buried deep inside her chest.A girl who had seen more from the cruel world than she was suppose to.
I tried running.
I tried forgetting.
But every time I look in the mirror, it's the same little girl staring back at me.《☆》《☆》《☆》《☆》
