📍Spanish Town/dela
I woke up early and got right to it-cleaning the house and tackling the laundry before the pile grew too big.The peace and quiet of the house felt like a blessing. My mother hadn't come home from last night, but honestly, mi nuh business. The house felt lighter without her presence, as if the air itself could finally breathe.
Rinsing out my underwear in a basin of Downy-scented water, I took my time scrubbing. Once they were clean, I hung them up on the line outside, letting the sun do the rest.
Feel fi some sea food
Ago cook mi shrimp before miss lady nyam it and tell mi seh she have rights fi eat whateva cz a fi har house
Joshua deevn deyah fi help mi eat it off
With laundry out of the way, I headed back inside to start cooking.
The rich aroma of curry filled the house, making my stomach grumble as I stirred the pot, watching the sauce thicken and coat the shrimp just right.
Once the pasta was done, I served myself a small portion, enjoying the meal in silence.
At least mi can eat in peace today.
After eating, I grabbed my phone to check for any messages. I opened WhatsApp, scrolling through the usual chats-family updates, a few messages from coworkers-and one from Dwayne, a friend from work.
Fi a man him annoying enuh kmt...
Dwayne: hey wassup ?
I sent quick replies to everyone not bothering to reply to dwayne's message i continued eating my food while scrolling on tiktok.
After eating i went outside to was everything that i had use earlier.
Cyah wait fi move cz this nah go work fimi at all
Too much mosquitoSatisfied that I'd done enough for the morning, i closed up the house leaving only the room window open i went to take a shower.
After getting dressed in just a trainer bra and biker shorts I stretched out on my bed then closed my eyes, letting myself drift into a much-needed nap before tonight.

The sound of my phone ringing broke through the calm of my nap. Groaning, I stretched, rubbing my eyes and taking a deep breath as I tried to shake off the lingering sleep. I sat up slowly, feeling the slight stiffness in my neck from lying in one position for too long.
