Y A N I Q U E W I L L I A M S🍂
"Yanique" a husky voice called shaking me out of my beauty sleep. While rubbing my eyes I get up seeing we're at the stoplight on Ocho Rios.
"I could take a taxi anywhere in town-" I suggested.
"It's a couple minutes to ten pm, way too late and I'm willing to drop you home" he said. After giving him directions to where I live he began heading my direction, even taking a short cut surprising me.
"Are you familiar with Ocho Rios" I asked.
"Yea I know people from here" he said.
"Oh" I said looking out admiring the lights. The town is prettier in the night.
As the car smoothly turns onto my street, I gear up to depart, grabbing my must-haves - my AirPods, phone, and myself.
All set.
The familiar sights of my street bring a sense of tranquility as I step out, the evening breeze gently embracing me, carrying the essence of the night.
Him never tek mi weh after all
"Wouldn't mind stillz" my subconscious chimes in
Seeing my father and my brother outside of the house I gently smile telling him it's this one.
"Thank you very much, it means a lot to me," I expressed with heartfelt gratitude. In response, he nodded in acknowledgment, his gesture conveying a sense of understanding and reassurance.
"That's fine," he replied
How could I ever repay him?
I step out of the car and my brother runs to me, then my father walks immediately afterwards.
My father and I are short alike but my brother is determined to become taller than both of us.
Like sir, a genes yuh na get no taller
Giving him my bag to bring inside he immediately smiles looking in seeing food.
Mr Enigmatic walks briskly from his car, his cold demeanor softens a bit when he sees us.
"Good night sir" he said.
What a man nice mon
"Good night, thank you very much for bringing mi likkle daughter home, mi did a fret" my father said chuckling
"Yea man a di least that, nice daughter yuh have, she made sure to call you". He responded glancing at me now and then.
Turning to go assist my brother with his homework work" feeling his eyes on me I continue walking.
What I heard next made me stop in my tracks.
O' C O N N O R🍂
I pull up to a brown one story house with white iron gates.
She starts packing her bag and looks around to see if she had left anything.
