Chapter 8 Who let the Cat in?

Two minutes early, in an Alleyway that leads to the Warehouse....

"Phantom? What's going on? Phantom? Phantom, don't you dare go quiet again!" Yelled Ezekiel, trying to get Phantom back on the comms after he heard someone else's voice coming through that he didn't recognise. But nothing was coming back on Phantom's end and he looked at Shay. "Dammit, Phantoms in trouble. Someone's in the room with him."

"Have they spotted him yet?" Asked Shay tilting her head.

"If they did, we would heard a rackets going on inside now." Said Ezekiel, facepalming his face. "F##### hell, we're going to have to find our own way in before they find Phantom."

"Ok time to be feline fatal! Stay to the Shadows and out of trouble. I cause a distraction and nab some of what they are growing, and you find Phantom." Shay said as she hopped down a wooden box and ran to the Warehouse. "Wish me luck!!!"

"Hey Shay, Get back here!" Ezekiel Shouting out quietly.

But Shay ignored Ezekiel's call and continued running down to the Warehouse with her tail hanging up in the air. As she approached the warehouse, she looked around with her cat sight and instantly found a small gap between the two large doors at the front of the building. She marks a grimmest smirk as she jogs over to the gap and squeezes through it without any trouble whatsoever.
When Shay goes in, she sees eight to ten guards standing guard inside the big warehouse, keeping an eye on the workers who are picking a few flowers up and smashing them in a bowl. The workers look very poorly, and they seem to haven't been eating well and exhausted for days on end.

"Oy!" shouted one of the armed guard, grabbing someone who was sleeping on a bench and tossing her to the ground. "We didn't say you can sleep on the job!"

"Uh-uh....I'm sorry." Trembling a Female human, shaking. "I hadn't had enough sleep since my child was-...."

"Did I say you can give excuses!!!" Yelled the guard as they slapped her really hard to the ground and continued to throw gossip at her.

Shay felt a sting of anger in her body and rising in her fluffy cat form as she watched the woman getting badly ambushed, and no one around seemed to do anything about it. The guards stand there either laughing or not caring at all, and the workers kneel their heads down and nervously continue their work in fear. Shay slowly scratched the floor below her front paws, then without a second thought, she ran up towards a working table and jumped onto it.

"Mellow!!!" Screeched Shay with the back of her lungs so loud that it spooked the entire warehouse, and everyone turned their attention to her with shock and confusion.

"What the F###?! How did it get in here." Asked one of the guards who was beating the worker, who slow moved away from him.

"Owwww, it looks so cute." Said another guard who was holding a beer near the fridge.

"Who cares?! Just get rid of it! It's distracting my focus!" Said another Elves guard who playing something on his phone, an exciting video game. "Come on, let me sleep with the owl girl!!!"

"Do we have to? I mean, it does look cute with its little ears." Said another guard slowly up to Shay. "Hey, little kitty, are you los-..."

"Yoo, stop treating the cat!" Said an Orc guard, pulling the guard back away from the cat. "You don't know-..."

"Don't you touch me, Freak!" Yelled The guard, pulling away from him.

"What you say!"

Then an argument broke out, with the group debating whether to kill Shay, throw her into the trash, or keep her as their pet. She just lay down and looking down at the argument that broke out, while having a cat grin on her face.

"Mellow." Repeated Shay, muttering to herself. "These idiots are falling into the old cute cat trick. Now I have to keep them decorating them a little longer and-....'

"Well, no S###, it's a cat genius!" Yelled an angry voice from upstairs, shocking everyone in the room, including Shay, to look upstairs to the balcony.
There was a lot of noise coming up there until Shay saw a green goblin come running out down the stairs, tripping over some old cleaning equipment and falling onto the ground.

"The Boss orders to kill the cat. Find it and kill it! And we'll be paid a raise of a hundred Bucks!" Yelled Trevour.

All the guards in the room slowly turn their attention to Shay as they look as they have sinister grins on their faces and bring out their guns and tools, except for one Elves in the corner who is still playing on his phone, who wasn't paying much attention on what going on around him.

"Yes! She brought a dog instead of a cat! Thank god it's not a dumb cat!" said the Elf loudly.

'Hrrrr... F##### cat hater.' Frowned Shay.
