The Monday back was nerve-racking for Sky. She'd spent the weekend in the hospital recovering. Apparently, her wounds had decided to heal painfully slowly. And if things couldn't get worse it was full moon tonight.
The three girls were walking through the hallway discussing the events from the week before, Sky being unusually silent due to mourning her friend. It hadn't hit her till she woke up in the hospital that Derek was truly gone and now she couldn't even mourn publicly thanks to Scott.
“It's just weird,” Allison sighed. “Everyone's talking about what happened the other night but nobody knows it was us.”
Lydia scoffed. She was glad nobody knew it was them. “Thank you for the protection of minors.”
Sky nodded in agreement. “I'd rather not have everyone know I spent my weekend in a hospital bed. I hated the pity looks last time.”
“Do you two think I made the wrong decision?” Allison asked, changing the topic to her break up with Scott. Sky was split on the topic. She wanted to be mad at Scott for her friend but she understood Scott's Side too well.
“About that jacket with that dress? Absolutely,” Lydia scoffed.
“You know what I mean.”
“Hello? Scott locked us in that classroom and left us for dead,” Lydia pointed out. “He's lucky we're not pressing charges or making him pay for our therapy bills.”
“He might've had a good reason,” Sky pointed out, trying to be optimistic, knowing Scott had taken the fall for her. She'd locked them in but because the only security camera to survive showed him breaking the key in the door he took the blame.
“But he refuses to tell anyone,” Lydia scoffed.
“Give him a break Lyds,” Sky sighed as the bell rang. “I've got English, I'll see you guys in gym.”

Calculus was as boring as always. Ms.Parker was droning on about the homework and how to do it. Eventually, Sky started to doze off, her eyes drooping as she tried to stay awake.
Suddenly she wasn't in calculus. She was back to that night. She was running through the woods, almost to the school before a shadow figure jumped over her. She watched the creature impale Derek before tossing him away like trash.
