"Hey-hey-hey...shhh-shh, it's ok-its ok-" I said as I practically had to rip her off of Mike, who was now bleeding out of his nose and lips on the ground. Jesus, what the hell had this kid done to make her this mad?
"Hey-hey, talk to me Nyssa- Nyssa? What happened?" I asked, trying to keep my voice as calm as possible. She'd stopped kicking and screaming, so that was a good sign..."Nyssa?"
She looked up at me with a look in her eyes that could only be defined as rage. "He touched me. And tried to kiss me" she said through gritted teeth.
Now usually, I never succumb to violence. I had vowed never to hurt another human being for as long as I lived, after I walked in on my dad hitting my mom. Yeah. He was hurting her, but he never did it in front of me, coward was afraid of what i'd do. Naturally, I kicked him out, and my mom...she was covered in bruises and cuts...I'd told myself I'd never hurt another human being like that. Ever.
But when Nyssa told me that Mike touched her, I found myself wanting to rip that bastard limb from limb until he was nothing but a useless heap of of flesh on the ground. Huh, weird, I'm not usually that dark...maybe this girl is rubbing off on me.
Her breathing slowed down and she looked at Mike on the ground. I felt her body relax in my arms. It felt...nice, having her be so...comfortable around me, not having her usual defenses up.
"Are you ok?" I asked, my voice slightly more raspy then i'd intended.
She turned her head and looked at me with an expression of somewhat shock, "yeah, i'm-i'm fine, thanks" she muttered.
"No problem...that jerk deserved a good beating anyway" I laughed softly.
She didn't laugh, no but what she did do could be considered even better. She smiled. At me. Nyssa Abrahams smiled at me. A big, genuine smile. My heart quite literally shattered into ten thousand peices, I wanted to see that smile again. And again, and again. I wanted to make her smile like that for the rest of her life...I needed to make her smile like that again. Even once. God she looked so...beautiful when she smiled.
"You look beautiful when you smile" I mumbled.
She choked on...i'm not quite sure what, and stumbled out of my grip. I found myself wanting her back in my arms, wanting to touch her again, feel her defenses down...see her smile.
"Um-uh...thanks...I have-class-" She muttered out and speed-walked away. I had class too, but I didn't want to go. I just stood there, watching her retreating form until it was out of sight, and then I slowly made my way to where Mike was still a bloody heap on the ground.
I crouched down in front of him. "Mike" I started "If you so much as look at her again, you'll have more than a broken jaw, ok?" I said, as politely as possible.
Mike gave a shaky nodded, and picked himself up.
"oh, and if the nurse asks what happened? You say you had a bad fall on the ice, since you're always belittling us hockey players" I said, helping him up.
Mike huffed weakly and stalked off, and I headed to hockey practise. On the way, my mind wandered to a certain siren-eyed girl again, and what she'd look like in my jersey...
Hi guys! hope you like the story so far, its not great, but i'm kind of coming up with this as I go, a little side note, there's going to be small sub-chapters about Brooke and Miles's story, I know I haven't explained them in too much detail, but it was mostly because I wanted to focus on Nyssa and Aiden for the timebeing, but now that you know a little about their characters, I'm going to introduce Miles and Brooke some more too!
