"Uh-hello-hello Mr. Abrahams" I cleared my throat stupidly. God, this must look so bad. I'm literally carrying his unconcious daughter into his diner, with her wearing my freaking jacket. Damnit. damn all the gods-

Her dad gave me an incredulous expression and spluttered "who-what-?"

"I know how this looks sir and i-"

"Who are you!?" He demanded, his voice high, defensive and confused "And why on earth is my daughter unconcious!?"

I took a deep breath, steeling myself, "Ok, please listen to me sir, I'll explain everything, but uh-do-do you mind if I set her down first-or-or you can do it-"

Her dad massaged his forehead and pointed up the stairs next to the kitchen opening, "Her bedroom's up the stairs, shouldn't be too hard to find it-" He sighed exasperately, "Put her down, and come straight down boy, you have alot of explaining to do, starting with the fact that for whatever reason, i trust you"

I nodded so quickly, i thought i might get winded, and carefully carried Nyssa up the stairs, I heard her father mumble something as I went up

"Maybe because he looks so wide-eyed and innocent-"

I had to supress a smile, her dad trusts me, that's a good sign...right?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Her room was...fitting, to say the least. It was messy, but in the way that...you could tell where everything was, her walls were covered in posters from what i assumed were her favourite TV shows, I chuckled quietly at the variety of sitcoms she watched, and the rom-coms...there were at least three bookshelves, all lined with books of different genre's. In the corner there was a small, cluttered desk with her laptop, textbooks and other study materials, oh, and her entire room was light blue and grey. It was perfect. I placed her in the small blue bed in the corner of her room, turning off the lights and hurrying down, to explain everything to her dad.

"Mr. Abrahams-" I started, still only halfway down the stairs, he was sitting, holding his forehead  with an emotionless expression.

"first of all, who are you?" he asked me, understandably

"My-my name's Aiden Rhodes sir," i said, awkwardly holding my hand out for him to shake, i quickly retreated it after he looked at it disdainfully, and rubbed the nape of my neck, "I'm-i'm a-"should i say friend? were we friends? I don't know! Whats that word for...someone you know-uh--

"I'm an aquantince, sir" i cleared my throat, god, i really hope that was the word...

"And what were you doing carrying my daughter's unconcious body into my diner?" He said raising an eyebrow

Here comes the hard part.

"Well, uh, sir, your daughter was at a party...which i'm sure she told you about-"

"Yes she did, but she told me she wouldn't drink" He interrupted

"Yeah, she didn't- well not voluntarily anyway...her drink was spiked, Mr. Abrahams, it was supposed to be non-alcoholic but...you know high school kids-"

At my words, his face immediately darkened, and he suddenly looked eerily similar to Nyssa when she was mad. I swallowed thickly. He took a deep breath and placed his hands on the table, "Who spiked her drink, Aiden?" he asked eerily calmly

"Uh--a boy named Mike Griffin, sir" I said, i wasn't quite sure why i kept saying 'sir,' it wasn't like her dad was some drill seargent, no matter how much he sounded like one-

"did he do anything else, this...Mike Griffin?"

Should I tell him? What would he do? Would they move away? Would he kill Mike?

A million thoughts raced through my head, but in the end, I decided to be honest. I swallowed and steeled myself, even thinking about it made me sick to the stomach. "He-he touched my-" i cleared my throat "he touched Nyssa" I said with a coldness i didn't know i had in me.

Her dad's eyes widened like saucers, "He. Did. What!?!?" The man yelled with a tone that bordered on insane. He slammed his hands on the table

"How did he touch her Aiden!?" He demanded, his voice trembling

"Sir-" I started "Please sit down I know how this must sound and i-"

"Answer me boy!" He yelled, louder, if that was possible

I swallowed, there were some things a father shouldn't know...but...I was in too deep now-

"Mr. Abrahams- please, please sit, sir, you're going to want to-" I took a deep breath as he sat down. "Mike- Mike was...he was kissing her...and she didn't want him to and he-was touching her...innapropriately-" God, the words tasted bitter in my mouth, but it was nothing compared to the expression on her father's face. It was one of blind rage, and sadness and-

He slumped down, he sank into the chair and held his head in his hands. "God...no...please-please tell me this is some...sick...sick joke please-" his voice was dry and hoarse

I reached out to comfort him, but then stopped. He didn't know me, i was just some rando kid that brough his daughter back...

"It's-it's not a joke sir i'm so, so sorry I did what I could-"

"What did you do?" He asked, his voice raspy and broken

God, how would this look? Telling her father that i punched someone? I'd look like a bad person i'd-

I have to tell him...maybe he'd forgive me...because it was for Nyssa?

"I-i just have to tell you, i'm not usually violent, or ever actually, i've never punched anyone, or anything like that but i-i" I swallowed "I hit him...sir i know how this must look, but i couldn't just-"

To my suprise, Mr. Abrahams, patted my shoulder and gave me a sad smile, "thank you" his raspy voice said quietly, "thank you for...looking out for her...and bringing her home-thank you for being there when i couldn't-"

"No sir i-"

"Call me Peter, kid" He said with faintest hints of a smile.

He ruffled my already messy blonde hair and gestured for the door, "Run along now, and thank you, really-if you ever need anything, i'm right here, Aiden...and..." He looked me in the eye "Please...look out for her...she's...she's a real spitfire, that one"

I chuckled softly, "that, she is"

I thought back to the countless times i'd seen her stick up for herself, Brooke and me...that one time...

I shook my head to snap out of it, and headed for the door. Just as I was about to leave, Peter called out to me, "Hey, kid- promise me something, yeah?"

I nodded "sure...what is it?"

"Promise me you'll tell a teacher or something about Mike, yeah?"

I nodded vigorously, "Of-of course sir-- i mean, Peter-"

Her dad smiled sadly and nodded.
