"He is seriously the best boyfriend ever. He still leaves flowers in my locker every other day. He doesn't let me lift a finger or pay for anything, ever. If I just mention I want something, he'll get it for me right away. It could literally be like, anything from a glass of water to a pair of diamond earrings."
It was a sunny Thursday afternoon and Juliana, Maddy and Cassie were walking through the mall after school, shopping for the homecoming dance.
"And he's so good in bed it's crazy. He always makes sure I get off more than once every time we have sex, like me finishing only once is not good enough for him. and he would go down on me all day if I let him." Juliana continued explaining to her friends as they stopped in front of a store window to look at the dresses displayed on the mannequins.
"Okay, so what's the problem?" Maddy questioned, looking skeptical.
"Yeah, that's what I'm wondering too. That sounds literally perfect. Where can I get one of these boyfriends?" Cassie asked as they walked into the store.
Juliana paused, picking up a navy blue dress to look at. She scrunched her nose up and put it back; it was too puffy.
"Ugh, I don't know. Maybe you guys are right. Maybe I'm being over dramatic." She sighed.
"Well, it sounds too good to be true. There has to be a catch, right?" Maddy inquired, flicking through a rack of sparkly dresses.
"Yeah..." she trailed off for a moment, not wanting to talk badly about Nate. She was honestly so happy with him and loved him with all of her heart, but she just needed to vent.
"He can be so jealous and controlling sometimes. The jealousy I can handle, but him being controlling can be a bit much sometimes."
"He's always been like that with you, long before you were together." Cassie pointed out.
"I know, but it's definitely gotten way worse since we've gotten together."
"That can definitely be annoying," Maddy interjected. "I like when guys are jealous to a certain point, but then it's just fucking irritating. And I cannot deal with them being controlling, fuck that."
"Exactly," Juliana agreed. "I honestly do find him being jealous hot, but sometimes he takes it too far. Like yesterday when James was talking to me during practice, Nate nearly ripped his head off. And he was only asking me about the history test."
"I really thought Nate was going to jump him." Cassie said.
"He probably would have if we weren't at school," Maddy added.
"And when I go out without him anywhere, it's like he doesn't trust where I'm going or who I'll be with."
"He obviously loves you a lot, I'm sure if you talk to him about it and tell him how you feel it will help." Cassie said encouragingly as she held up a long, pink satin dress to her body.
