[feelings and exploring]

Author pov

Late into the night where too men covered in the comfortable warmness from the burning fire. but the warmth not reaching their heart. Entertaining themselves with small talks about their childhood.

"You know... I once learned morse code just for fun." Lennox laughed.

"Mmhm... and why is that? To brag."

"Yes but no, after I learned that, things never were the same you know."

"Guess you over think everything back then."

"You won't believe it, but the rain told me to run."

"What the Frick bro. I never knew you are this idiotic." Cyrus laughed.

With that the dark atmosphere surrounding them became lighter. Making fun and being made of fun both of them enjoyed each other's accompany. With occasional curses from Cyrus whenever he puts too much strength on his wounds during laughing, and whenever he did so Lennox's dark orbs scanning for any major discomfort from the later. A deep breath of relief escaping from his lips as he looked outside the for the nth time.

The feeling is not getting out of him. it's been days and it's making him worry. Something has surely happened to someone. More specifically to his brother. He knows it's his brotherly instincts telling him that something is very wrong. He just wants to leave everything, not even care about anything, and run through that dark abyss in hunt for Arlo. He just wants to see him make sure he is unharmed. He wonders if it's too much to ask.

Little did they both knew that a pair of red orbs were looking at them. Tears formed in them; a sob teared the silence. Heavily breathing and pained grunts following behind.

"It hurts.... It hurts brother." He cried in pain. "Save me"

Tears pouring down like rain as he continued to scream through pain and in blood thirsty hunger. His human memories fading away with the increasing thirst for blood. Pale looking skin turning its colors to a gooey reddish brown. Nails on his only hand getting long and sharp. Thick smooth hair falling on the ground meeting the tears in midair. Blood still oozing out from the missing limb and where his bones cut through his skin, his body going into unusual positions trying to ease the pain just a little. Screams getting louder and deeper until it almost sounds inhumane.

Cloths tearing apart with disturbing sounds of cracking bones he fully transforms into one of those monsters. His last humane memories leaving him with the tears. Eyes completely turning red as he snapped his head towards the building not so far away.

"Sh-un hdgs-way vjb-roder." He whispered silently for the last time.

Sadness can be heard and fell through the not so coherent words. Maybe he is telling his soon to be victims to run, be safe. Siblings love is incredibly beautiful when it blooms. Obviously not every bud bloom into a flower, some just stays that way while others fall off and die.

Letting out a terrifying screech he jolted towards the building, instinct to kill taking over. Tripping over nothing as the bodies muscle memories kicked in making its body stiff having a muscle fit. Confused over what's happening the newly transformed creature started to thrash around in sand harming itself.

Unbeknownst to the other two in the building who now were sleeping after long talks, the monster lies there lifeless. Not having anything to eat right after transforming made it cannibal. Feasting on its own limbs until death knocked it out for greater good. Maybe, it pitied the dying soul in the monster.

Just that time on the far away end of the jungle a duo wonders into the mysterious castle. It's said no one has found it ever since the year 2018. The ruins of the castle still in a decent shape compared to the others. It obvious that this castle is not ordinary built.

"What is this place, it looks creepy." Dylan murmured.

"Do I look like I know" Armin whispered. "it's so dark over here."

"it's nighttime you idiot."

"The moon is out so it has to give us some light."

"Stop complaining and move forward."

"Says the one who is clinging on me," he sighed. "I am the youngest here."

"You have more muscles than me" older added.

"That isn't a valid point." Armin replied clearly annoyed by the way other is acting.

"For me it is, now move forward." Dylan said detaching himself from the younger.

Shaking his head Armin slowly took steps forward. The whole place had a cliché feeling around. Thin fog becoming thicker as they went deeper. The heavy air and cold surrounding making it hard to breath. The sweats formed in the other twos body slowly cooling down as their eyes adjusted to the dark atmosphere. Being able to see around even a little bit made them feel relieved.

"My soldiers push forward." Armin yelled with the sudden courage he felt.

"Stop making references in these situations." Dylan is quite annoyed now.

It's been a while since they are walking and still, they haven't reach anything. plus, he has seen that specific log for the seventh time since. Could they be...

"Why the hell are you walking in circles." Dylan screamed in frustration.

"Are we?" Confused the other looked around.

"You are no hope." Shaking his head he moved forward holding Armins hand with a death grip.

Afraid that they might get lost. And neither of them wants to be alone in this creepy place. Its feels like some eyes are watching them. Dylan can feel their sharp glances on their backs. He had tried to look around without being suspicious and saw nothing. None of those red floating orbs. None of those terrifying screams. It's completely silent here.

Gulping he moved forward to what it seems to be like a gate. His legs trembling in fear as they did so. Finally entering through the gate, they decided to light up something so they can see where they are going. Taking out their almost dying phones and turning on the flashlight feature. Instantly it lit up the whole room. Rummaging through the bags they took out two battery powered torches just in case.

They are now in what seems like to be a hallway. With build up last drops courage they again walked in. the walls had some kinds of designs engraved on it. some writing in another language. Some drawing like things. Form what they observed it looks like the people with the royal family is running away from a witch. Abusing of power is a lot common in this planet since the beginning of the time. Experts say that its survival of the fittest. But in these two pairs of eyes its pure nonsense. Everyone has the right to survive.

"Eeeeeeek!!"

"Aaaaaargh"

With the sudden screams echoed through the hallway as they both fell into the cracked floor. Was it there before. No one knows. Their screams getting quitter as they fell deeper. Once again, the castle defended itself from the world. Not so long after silence once again covered the place. A white smoke can be seen disappearing into thin air.
