Christmas Eve, snow falling down, laughter in the dorms while getting ready, Louise was ready to go to the Yule ball. She was debating to straighten her hair or let the curls be embraced. She stared at her baby blue dress with little leaves on them that started on the top of the her dress to flow down to her hips, in awe while looking in the mirror. She was ready to be heading down to the great hall, all the other girls ready as well, all going down the stairs to find their dates. Louise didn't need a date, knowing she was going to have a good time anyways without one.
Being the first one down, Louise had never felt so many eyes on her from the boys, her face going a little red. "Like it?" She asked them, Blaise stuttering a little.
"It's very nice." Draco told her, impressed with her dress choice, Louise curtsying him on purpose. "I take it back". He mumbled, punching his shoulder as she stood beside him to see the other girls.
Elara came down next in a lavender gown, rhinestones on the top, her hair in a messy bun. Her date was to be Blaise, the boy smiling at him as he spun her. Louise saw Millie come down next, staring at her beautiful green dress that matched her eyes, sparkling as her date was to be with Ernie Macmillan.
Louise was annoyed when Theo didn't ask Millie, knowing that there was something there, rolling her eyes when he looked over at her.
Carina wore a black tulle dress with a little bit of glitter shining through, having her date be one of the Durmstrang boys, meeting him in the front of the great hall.
Another girl came down stairs, draco shaking his head to Louise, Daphne not being his date. "He asked out a Beauxbatons chick. Seduced her with French." Blaise said, Louise impressed with her cousin.
"Who's your date?" Draco asked her, the two heading out in front of the group. "I uh, got asked but I didn't want to go with any of them." Louise said, hoping that one of her friends would've asked her.
"It's not a big deal." She said, knowing she didn't need a date to rely on to have a good night. "Heard longbottom even got a date." Draco told her, Louise looking at him.
"You suck at comforting people. Better tell the Beauxbatons— oh my god." Louise said, furrowing her eyebrows to see Ron and Harry be with the Patil twins, her eye almost twitching.
"The Patil twins?" She asked her brother, all standing in the front of the great hall. The twins walked in, wearing their traditional, yet very beautiful suits.
"Cho had a date, Millie got ask. Ron asked Fleur, we didn't know who else." Harry explained, Louise pointing to herself.
"Are you kidding me? I told Ron I was available and if he needed to I'd gladly go with him. Is he daft or something, oh his dress robes are terrible." Louise said, staring at them and feeling bad.
"He knows." Harry sighed, Louise gasping when she saw Hermione, turning her brothers head. "She has good taste." The two said at the same time, Louise laughing at their twin telepathy.
It didn't last long when krum grabbed her hand, also being asked by him. "So nobody took you?" Harry asked her, Louise shaking his head. "Hopefully Ron treats Pavarti nicely, she's been a bit uptight because Padma and her like you at the same time."
"Yeah I've noticed."
Turning into the great hall, Louise caught eye contact with Ron, both unable to take their eyes off of each other for a moment. She knew it was odd to be wearing a dress, but the way Ron was looking at her, he was almost mesmerized.
Watching him hit some chairs after continuing to look at Louise, the girl couldn't help but smile, tucking a strand behind her hair as her bangles hit together, showing off the earrings she was wearing.
