chapter nineteen

"What the fuck is she doing here?!"

It was the morning after of being at Malfoy manor, and unfortunately for Louise, she was met with an unpleasant surprise of her cousin after brushing her teeth, getting scared.

Elara looked all mangled and stressed out, her eyebags droopier than ever as she stared at Louise, anger in them both. "Fuck off elara, I'm allowed to be here." Louise said, Carina coming out of her closet, already changed and handing Louise clothes for her to wear.

"Give it a break E, why are you even up this early?" Carina asked, both girls looking at her. "Your mum is making pancakes." Elara said, crossing her arms together.

"Okay well I'm going to eat, and then I'm leaving." Louise said, pushing frail Elara to move, the girl following her down the stairs, noticing Draco and Theo in front of her.

"When did you get here?" Draco asked, side hugging his cousin, smiling at Theo. "Last night, got in an argument with my dad and then came here." She said, unsure of where else to even go.

"Well I'm glad you're here." Draco told her, ruffling her hair to make it even more messy. "Thanks." She mumbled, all of them still in their pyjamas, heading into the kitchen.

Blinking twice and all the kids getting grossed out to see Narcissa and Lucius kissing in the kitchen. "Ew gross!" Carina screamed, Draco covering Theo's eyes as Carina did it to elara, the three cousins looking at them to stop already.

"Morning kiddos, did you sleep well sweetheart?" Narcissa asked, pouring them all chocolate milk to have with their pancakes, spoiling them today. "I lost my appetite after watching you two eat each other—"

"Gross Carina." Draco gagged, going over to drink the chocolate milk. "It's nice to see you Louise." Lucius said, Louise smiling at him.

"Thanks, hope I'm not wrecking any plans, I'll leave soon." Louise said, both of them shaking their heads with a smile. "No it's fine, we were just going to fix up the garden today anyways." Narcissa said, the kids groaning at that.

"Well, mum is going to fix it, we're going to play quidditch, we finally have a commentator now, Blaise is coming over to ref." Draco said, doing boys against girls.

Taking her pancakes to the dining table to eat, Louise looked outside, seeing their garden and the bigger backyard they had, probably the biggest in the manors.

The pancakes were warm, smelling the chocolate as she took a bite, the others following her— something they don't normally do. "Oh we're eating together?" Asked Elara, Lucius and Narcissa coming over to their spots on the ends of the end.

There were no windows in the dining room, black everywhere with their dimmed lights on, eerie yet comforting at the same time. She felt dark in here, staring at the others who didn't know what to do with themselves.

"I'm assuming you guys don't use this area till dinner?" Louise asked, looking to her right where Draco sat. "No it's nice to sit as a family more than once, right?" Narcissa asked the kids, Elara shrugging her shoulders.

Sitting in silence, Louise looked around the table, her eyes landing on Theo, her stomach hurting when she realized something, quickly looking away from him.

"Cissy! Where are you?" Hearing someone, Narcissa furrowed her eyebrows, looking at Louise immediately, everyone turning to see Atticus by himself, panting a little.

"What the hell are you doing here?" Lucius asked, getting up as the boy was still panting. "He— he came to my home, you told me I'd be fine away from him." Atticus panted, looking up, his eyes widening when he saw Louise.
