Gabriel
"No!" Amanda screamed before she shrugged me off. Smart woman! She probably knows I planned to change the whole contract marriage sham.
Come to think of it, my vengeful witch has been in a new mood lately. She fights with others but with me, she tends to be caring.
When I was in the hospital, I realized she stopped her revenge plot for me. She was always present in the hospital despite my mother's taunts.
"Vengeful witch," I called out. Amanda refused to answer me as she wore her nightgown. "What's wrong with you?"
Amanda turned sharply, her breathing erratic. "Who's a witch? Not just a witch. Vengeful witch?" She yelled.
"Just kidding," I replied smiling. Amanda was about to head out when I stopped her, "I have a surprise for you."
"Really?" She beamed.
"Yes, I do. And it's quite... I mean, just you and me." I said.
Amanda chuckled before she excused me so I could change my clothes. I hurriedly took off my clothes, had my bath, and joined Amanda in the bedroom where she was seated with a laptop in her hand.
"What are you doing?" My curiosity would not be the end of me.
"Nothing serious," my vengeful witch answered.
"Planning the next part of your revenge?"
"Kind of but that can wait. Let's go." Amanda mumbled before she closed the laptop.
We both walked out of the room simultaneously but with a little gap. I headed the way to the dark corner of the house on the top floor. Immediately we got to the room's door, I instructed my vengeful witch to open it. She stared at me for a moment before she did.
Amanda looked lost as she captured the room she just opened its door. It was an elegant bedroom with a masculine interior.
"Is this a spare room?" She asked.
"No. Office." I retorted.
She moved into the room and touched almost every item in it. "Wow! This is beautiful."
"Indeed. But I brought you here for something else."
"The contract?" She laughed.
"No!" I answered truthfully.
"Then, what is it?" She asked.
"Revenge makes people do foolish things." I retorted by scratching my hair.
"You've told me that before. What's there to say again?" She asked while folding her arms over her chest. Her dress moved up a little exposing her beautiful thighs.
Such beautiful thighs. I wonder why I always have my eyes on them. Could it be they are calling out to me?
Amanda tapped me on my right shoulder jilting me back to life, "What are you thinking about?"
"Aren't you happy with me?" I replied instead. She blinked her eyes and looked away.
"Can you explain?" Her voice was cold as if laced with some kind of poison.
"You fucking know what I'm talking about, Amanda. Stop pretending." I told her with a strict tone.
"I'm not." She acknowledged.
"Seriously? I know you want revenge but you can't keep using me." I finally voiced out what had been eating me up.
"Really?" She laughed. "Use you? Well... I guess I am." She said, cocking an eyebrow. She rolled her eyes before she asked, "Can't I use you, Mr. Gabriel?"
"No! Stop using me." I hissed.
"What are you talking about? Should I let my stepmother and daughter trample on me? Who do you think will help me if I don't come to you?" Amanda screamed, her voice trembling a little.
"That's not what I meant." I tried to calm her down. "You want revenge, right?"
She refused to answer so I closed the gap between us and placed a finger on her shoulder gently. I want to help her but I would appreciate it if she requests my help.
"Then, tell me what exactly happened." I urged.
She gradually went on her knees and told me everything that happened right from the moment she left my house to her return.
"And from there, my grandfather, Mr. Fordham saved me," Amanda explained.
"So, you were with him?" I asked as I carefully wiped her tears away.
"Yes. He saved me but I was in a coma until two weeks before your wedding with Ava. Grandfather said I shouldn't take revenge but I didn't listen to him."
I smiled for a moment. "That's my girl."
"I won't forgive any of them. I will make them kneel and beg. I will squash them like chewing gum under my feet." She vowed while I wrapped my arms around her upper body. She relaxed a little after she poured her heart out.
"I know you want to take revenge but... those people are dangerous," I warned her knowing fully well what they did to me.
Words can't explain what Ava and Julienne are capable of doing. Speaking of devils in disguise, they are. How could I forget that fateful night. The night that changed my life; from a fearless man to a man that hides behind the shadows. Whatever I exhibit outside is just for the world to see. Deep down, I am suffering.
"I don't care. I will be a step ahead of them. If I don't end them all then my mother's name is not Mercedes Romanus." Amanda swore before she exhaled loudly.
"But won't you regret this?" I said, casually.
"Never! They will regret it, they will regret that I am alive. I will..." Her jaws clenched and her dark eyes darkened more than usual.
I don't want a weakling as a wife. She has proved herself to me, I will take over. I brought my mouth closer to her ears and said, "I love you." Amanda smiled but she kept mute.
How I wish I could tell her the truth but some truths are sometimes better not told.
"Vengeful witch, don't worry, I will help you get revenge. You just have to tell me everything I need to do." I whispered into her left ear. She chuckled before she mumbled some words into my ear.
I opened my mouth, shocked by what she requested me to do. I realized she is really a vengeful witch and she came prepared.
"If you can't do it, don't bother. I will do it myself. I am more than capable.'' Amanda fumbled or maybe not.
"Witch, your wish is my command." I said happily. "Well, that's for Ava and Julienne. What do you plan to do for Marvin, he also has to take his side of the punishment."
"Of course, he will. In fact, he will pay dearly. It's only a daughter that knows the perfect type of punishment a father deserves." She chimed with an evil expression on her face.
