Amanda
"You gave birth to me but you are not my father," I said as I locked my eyes on Marvin Morales.
"I don't care." He chimed, revealing how ruthless and disrespectful he could be.
"I always knew you were the biggest curse in my life."
I had to challenge him since I was left with no choice. He had pushed me to the limit and I couldn't even imagine he sired me. Such a useless man. How I wish I had not wasted my time thinking he loved me.
"Amanda, you... How dare you?" Marvin growled.
"Is that how to welcome your daughter after four months?" I asked after I scuffed.
Marvin displayed an annoying look before he shouted, "You still dare to..."
I cut him off sharply. "You can see how daring I am. I never thought you were this useless and would support these brats over me. Just imagine."
"Leave my house right now!" Marvin yelled stretching his left arm towards the door.
"Look, I haven't started. The battle line has just been drawn. I will make sure you pay a million times."
Ava walked slowly closer to my side and snapped my fingers repeatedly in front of my face before she grew tired.
"What have we done to deserve this?" Ava asked.
Then she turned sharply to Marvin's side, "Dad, she left us and never thought how we lived when she disappeared. When she came back, all she did was seduce the man I wanted to marry."
"Did I disappear or I was forced to? Maybe some people tried to take my life. Am I right, Ava and Julienne?" I said raising an eyebrow.
"How do I know that?" Ava answered.
It didn't take long for Julienne to react. "So, are you trying to say that I and my daughter tried to murder you?"
"I'm just speaking the truth. The three of us know how fucking true that is." I fired.
"Can you see she's accusing us?" Julienne cried out and hugged Marvin quickly.
That disgusted me and I turned my head away for a while.
Ava kept talking trash till she pointed in my direction for a long time. I was forced to look behind me and I found Gabriel present. He smiled a little which made me return a frown.
"Amanda, I want you to apologize right now." Marvin thundered jolting me back to the argument.
I stared at him with a look of victory and beamed a smile afterward. That look was to make him see himself as a fool which he is.
"Daddy, she will not. She is just a bitch like her mother. It flows in their blood to steal people's favorite belongings. No wonder, she snatched my husband from me." Ava said annoyingly.
"Whether you like it or not, Gabriel Slade is my husband and he loves me very much. Even far better than I have ever imagined. By the time you go to the other world, I bet you will not see someone as affectionate as my husband who will do much for you." I uttered abrasively.
"How dare you utter such words in my presence? Are you wishing her dead?" Marvin questioned.
"Isn't she dead already? Her soul, mind, and body are gone already." I replied acerbically.
"Just get her punished." Julienne snapped.
"Amanda, before I open my eyes, be out of this building," Marvin commanded.
"And if I don't?" I asked daringly.
"I will be glad to inform you to greet your mother when you reach there." Julienne mocked.
"You are more like bullies or should I say that you are afraid of what I will do to you?" I asked as I gazed into each of their devilish eyes.
"You wretched lady. How dare you come here and bark like a dog?" Ava asked before waving her hand in front of me.
I shot her a deadly glare before I slapped her hard on the face. Far better than the one I gave Richard.
"I'm sorry. I learned a lot about how to tackle my enemies so the slap was just a natural reaction." I brayed before clicking my tongue against my teeth.
"I hate you." Julienne and Ava said together. In my ears, they both sounded like elementary school pupils singing the national anthem.
"I hate you more." I retorted.
I closed the gap between Ava and I. Then, I opened my bag, bringing out a dollar note. In a flash, I threw it at Ava in the face, almost where I slapped her.
"This is a free medical ticket. Go there so you can take care of yourself."
Ava, insulted by my action asked angrily, "What is it for?"
"If you don't need the money now, you will need it later. Sorry, I meant very soon." I smirked before I turned to Marvin and informed him, "You are dead to me."
"Just wait and see." I heard the Julienne — The witch — voice.
I walked out of the mansion with Gabriel walking closely behind me. I heaved a sigh of relief knowing fully well I just ignited the fire.
Once Ava is furious or scared, she will surely make a mistake. And then I will strike.
Immediately we entered the car, Gabriel wasted no time to question my actions but I ignored him. He would probably preach one thing or the other. He kept asking questions but I gave him no response.
We arrived at his mansion, I wasted no time before I scurried into the mansion and ran upstairs.
"For how long will you pretend as if you are deaf?" Gabriel sneered as he pulled me by my arm before I entered the room.
He pinned my arms against the wall and stared into my eyes. His blue piercing, doing the usual mesmerizing sensation.
"You have me. Why should you stress yourself when I'm here?" He asked.
"I am capable of defeating my enemies," I answered.
"That's very wrong. They can kill you. Have you forgotten these very people once tried to murder you?" Gabriel reminded me.
"No!"
How could I forget such an incident? Is he kidding me? He tightened his grip on my arms forcing me to whimper.
He said in a low voice, "Do you know how dangerous that was? You were just lucky enough to escape death at the riverbank..."
"And so what?" I raised my voice.
"Why is your obsession so deep?" He asked as he cupped my chin with his right hand after he released my arms.
"Obsession? You call that obsession?" I asked irritatingly.
"Yes. You are blinded by revenge. Can't you see it? The only thing that rings repeatedly in your head is revenge." Gabriel retorted with an unreadable gaze on his face.
He guessed right.
Revenge!
The only thing I crave and if I have to cross a zillion miles, I would.
