Gabriel

"Grandmother, wake up," I screamed as I tried catching my breath. I don't know what happened to her. She's a diabetes patient but why does she keep passing out?

"Doctor, please save her." I pleaded with folded arms but the doctor smiled.

Doctor Aishwarya had been our family doctor since I was a child. She knows the health status of every member of the Slade family.

"She's truly beautiful." I heard my grandmother's voice.

I turned sharply only to see her smiling. Her eyes were fixed towards the entrance. I looked at the entrance only to see my beloved contracted wife.

"Oh, my darling! I thought it was the camera. You are truly and exceptionally beautiful. I'm so glad you are married to Gabriel." My grandmother remarked. She gestured at Amanda to move closer which the latter did.

"Hi, grandmother," Amanda said as soon as she sat beside her on the bed.

Hold on! How did Amanda get here? I'm sure I left her in the room. Now, I get it. I had forgotten my grandmother was once an actress and she's no longer in the entertainment industry but she still has her skill.

Why? I don't know. She never told me why.

I beckoned to Dr. Aishwarya to excuse us and she did so politely.

In a dash, I reached for Amanda and grabbed her left arm. "How did you get here?" My eyes said, "I guess we aren't meant to know the whereabouts of each other."

She locked her eyes onto mine. "Leave me alone. I own the rules and I can bend them." Her smirking face conveyed it all.

"Why disturb my daughter-in-law? Leave her to me," my grandmother cautioned. She shoved my hand from Amanda's body. So much for an old woman.

"What's your name?" My contracted wife pouted. This woman seems to have double identities. At home, she's a witch but here with my grandmother, she's an angel.

"Gabriella." Grandmother said, smiling. "I've always told Gabriel to bring a second wife but he wouldn't." She added softly.

Amanda's face shifted to a dumbfounded one. I like it! She doesn't know my first wife is my grandmother. Sadly, our together forever might just be on the wrong foot soon. She's old which means anytime from now, she will be going to rest. She's over a hundred years old but one would hardly know since she's still very agile.

I was raised by her. I lived with her for fifteen good years of my life. I share a special bond with her. The way she interacts with Amanda makes me think they might develop one kind of intense relationship.

"I am old already. He needs a wife to take care of him." Grandmother said while Amanda took a deep breath.

Why did she take such a breath? I hope she wasn't thinking the opposite.

"Grandmother, do you need to say all that," I mumbled.

"Silly boy. Isn't she your wife? Who am I to tell all this if not her?" She unreasonably asked me. My stomach tightened when my grandmother asked Amanda if she knew my favorite food, drink, and color.

Amanda's surely going to miss this one. Grandmother might find out. She's too inquisitive for her age.

"Darling, answer me." Grandmother urged.

"Grandma. You don't need all this. You simply need rest." I tried to stop the old woman from carrying out her investigation but Amanda spoke up to my utmost surprise.

"First of all, he doesn't have a favorite food. He eats all that comes his way. He loves champagne a lot. And his favorite color is blue."

"I'm impressed! You are a five thousand yards wife material. Now, I can be assured that my Little Bo Peep will be happy in life. Make sure you drag him here at regular intervals to visit me."

Little Bo Peep — my childhood nickname. She always called me that.

Amanda too, as if she just enjoyed me being embarrassed, laughed like she had never in her lifetime. How dare Gabriella embarrass me in front of Amanda?

"Gabriel, let's go eat some hamburgers." Grandmother said.

"He's allergic to them. He doesn't eat them," Amanda said immediately.

My jaw dropped. How did she know that much about me?

She must have been plotting the seeds of her revenge while she was away. So, this explains why I happen to be her ultimate target.

She planned to use me as a pawn.

What does she want exactly? Is it my power or name? How I wish I could sit her down and ask her. But that won't happen. So much for a witch wife.

We all gathered at the dining room to eat the delicious food, Anastasia, my grandmother's house help cooked.

"You two won't be leaving for anywhere. It's past eleven already." Grandmother fumed after we finished eating.

Grandmother never misses a chance to let things go her way. I stared at Amanda who had a disapproving look on her face.

This is my chance to punish her. She did what she wished at my house, I guess it's my turn.

I smirked. "Grandmother. We were just joking. We would love to spend the night here. It's our pleasure."

Amanda managed to wrestle her ears with her mind. She gave me the, 'I'm gonna kill you,' look but I didn't care.

She has only one power; to instill fear in people. The look she gave earlier made me feel a bit scared. This woman is a witch, that I tell you.

The witch yearns for revenge. Let's see how she exacts the revenge she yearns for without my help. In a swift, I can change the whole game.

Gabriella asked, "Amanda darling, you can go rest for a while. I need to talk to your husband for some time. Can you please excuse us?"

"Of course, grandmother," Amanda answered.

Anastasia assisted Amanda upstairs. Grandmother informed Anastasia to give Amanda the clothes she bought for Amanda like she knew she would come after she staged a fake illness.

I almost finished a bottle of champagne which was prepared by Anastasia while talking to grandmother.

Grandmother walked me to the room's door immediately after we finished discussing what she had to share. Nothing serious. Just her wasting my precious time over marriage counseling.

"Goodnight darling. Sleep tight." Grandmother said while I struggled to keep my eyes open.

"Yes, grandma. Have a wonderful night's rest." I responded immediately and my eyes caught her anxious face.

What's she so happy about? Nevermind!

Grandmother's words pierced through my heart and I wished I could tell Amanda the reason I chose to be an obedient partner. How I wish I could...

But that's in the past. I can only be a filial husband and help her achieve her objective.

I managed to push the room's door open. My head hurt suddenly and I felt like I was going to fall anytime. I locked the door as soon as I entered.

My eyes searched every nook and cranny of the room still, Amanda was nowhere to be found. I heard the restroom's door creak open and my eyes followed suit.

Right there stood my witch wife dressed in a blue armless nightgown that barely reached her beautiful knees.

That reminded me of the day she fell unconscious three months ago and I had to change her clothes.

Her round breast, her sexy ass, and her pink shaved pussy. In short, she was gorgeous. I remembered struggling to keep my hands off.

Amanda locked her eyes on mine unknowingly and my body craved for a longed touch. With that, I took a closer look at her body structure.

Amanda is petite yet strong, with long black flowing hair and piercing dark eyes that reflect her resilience. She has delicate features that belie her inner strength, determination, and power. She is five feet, four inches tall. She has an oblong-shaped face, pink lips, thick eyebrows, and a small nose.

Despite my unsteady legs, I moved towards her and wrapped my arms around her tiny waist.

I lowered my head and placed my lips on hers.
