Author's POV
The next day Gemini and fourth crossed paths in the university hallway, the same place they had met countless times before. But this time, it was different.
Fourth, his eyes fixed on some point ahead, walked past Gemini without even a glance. No nod, no bickering, or no cheeky grin.
Gemini, his eyes downcast, let him pass without a word.
It was as if they didn't exist to each other anymore.
Fourth disappeared into the crowd, leaving Gemini standing alone, his eyes still fixed on the floor.
This went on for a week where quite a times they crossed paths in library but
both reaching for the same book on the shelf. Their hands touched, but they didn't flinch.Fourth withdrew his hand, his eyes fixed on the book as if Gemini wasn't there. Gemini's gaze never wavered from the shelf, his expression unreadable.
Fourth took the book and walked away, leaving Gemini standing there, his hand still outstretched. Gemini eyes scanning the shelf as if searching for another title.
The silence between them was oppressive, the air thick with unspoken words. Everyone around them where quite surprised seeing them like this everyone was quite used to there bickerings the sudden silence was a stark contrast to their usual banter.
Their classmates exchanged curious glances, whispering to each other as they passed by. "What's going on with those two?" someone whispered. "They're always at each other's throats, but now they're just... ignoring each other?" Another person shook their head, "No idea, but it's weird." The tension between Fourth and Gemini was palpable, a heavy fog that clung to them like a shroud

Gemini's POV
Fourth's indifference cut deeper than any harsh words.
Sitting in the library, I glanced up and saw Fourth across from me, staring blankly at a book. My gaze drifted toward him, and for a moment, our eyes met. But Fourth's expression remained unreadable, and he quickly looked away.
I felt a pang in my chest, realizing that Fourth might never forgive me. I wondered if I should try to make amends, but my pride and fear of rejection held me back.
As the days turned into weeks, the silence between us became a constant, gnawing presence. I began to wonder if we would get back to how we where. Had I ruined everything with my thoughtless words?
You always do that gemini I don't know why fourth is always around when I'm actually at my worse
I sighed, pushing my books aside. Concentrating was impossible with Fourth so close, yet so far away. I gathered my belongings and left the library, the weight of our unspoken words heavy on my shoulder.
The silence between us was oppressive, I missed our arguments, our connection. But it seemed that was all lost now.

Fourth's POV
I watched Gemini gather his belongings and leave the library, my mind still racing with thoughts. I still didn't understand why he missed our presentation. It wasn't like him to slack off, especially when grades were on the line. He was always so driven, so focused.
