Author's POV
The group set off for their hike, Gemini and Fourth keeping a safe distance from each other. As they climbed, the terrain grew rockier. Gemini lost his footing on a steep slope.
But the stubborn boy he was, he stood up by himself and continued climbing, limping slightly.
When everyone finally took a break for lunch, Fourth turned around, looking for Gemini. He spotted him approaching slowly, still limping.
"P'Love..." Fourth said, avoiding eye contact.
"Yes, Fourth?" Love replied.
"Can you check up on Gemini? I think he sprained his leg."
P'Love narrowed her eyes.
"Why don't you do that?"
"I can?" Fourth asked, his eyes shining. Love scoffed and spoke
"See, you're so ready to talk to him again,"
"No phi nothing like that I just saw him limping that's why asked you to check up on him." Fourth tried to explain but clearly failed
"Fourth, I know you still want to approach him. And I'm not cruel enough to ignore people on this trip, doesn't matter who it is. Go check on him, and I'll bring the spray and painkillers."
"Okay."
Fourth approached Gemini, who was leaning against a large stone.
"Seems like Mr. Perfect sucks at outdoor activities," Fourth said, getting on his knees in front of Gemini.
Gemini was speechless, at the sudden voice, he has been craving to hear from the last 3 days
Fourth gently touched Gemini's ankle, and Gemini snapped back to reality, wincing hard.
"Be gentle, idiot."
He didn't intend to sound like that, but it was how he always spoke to Fourth out of habit.
Fourth rolled his eyes, about to speak, when a voice interrupted.
"Gemini?"
Gemini and Fourth turned to face the speaker.
"Pakin?" Gemini replied confused.
"OMG, GEMINI, IS THAT REALLY YOU?" Mark exclaimed.
"Ah, stop shouting, please. Yeah, it's me!" Gemini said, trying to sound stern, but his smile betrayed him.
Mark swooped in, dramatic flair intact, and enveloped Gemini in a warm hug.
"Gemini, my long-lost soulmate! It's been ages!" Mark exclaimed, eyes shining with excitement.
Gemini's initial confusion melted into a genuine smile, and he returned the hug.
"What are you doing here?" Gemini asked, laughter lacing his voice.
As they pulled back, Mark struck a pose, his eyes sparkling.
