Naksh rubbed his temples, feeling the strain of the day already. He had been stressed since morning, and it was only getting worse. He had already downed his sixth cup of coffee, but it wasn't seeming to help. In fact, he was starting to feel jittery and anxious.
"Ritvik, I don't know how much more of this I can take,"
Naksh said, turning to his colleague."I've been drinking coffee nonstop since morning, but it's not helping. I'm still feeling so overwhelmed."
Ritvik looked at him with concern."Naksh, you know that's not the solution. Six cups of coffee is way too much. It's just going to make your stress worse."
Naksh knew Ritvik was right. He had been relying on coffee to get him through the past few days, but it was only masking the symptoms. He was still feeling anxious and overwhelmed, and the coffee was starting to take a toll on his body.
"I know, I know,"
Naksh said, sighing."But I don't know what else to do. I've got so much work to do, and I just can't seem to focus."
Ritvik put a hand on his shoulder.
"Let's take a break, Naksh. Let's go for a walk outside and clear your head. Sometimes, that's all you need to get your focus back."
Naksh nodded, feeling a glimmer of hope. Maybe Ritvik was right. Maybe all he needed was a break and some fresh air to get his head back in the game.
After their short break, Naksh and Ritvik headed back to their desks, feeling refreshed and ready to tackle their work again. Naksh, however, had an additional task to take care of - picking up his niece Ahvi from school.
Ahvi was a sweet and lively girl, studying in 5th standard. Naksh loved spending time with her and was always happy to help out his sister by picking her up from school.
As the day drew to a close, Naksh packed up his things and headed out to pick up Ahvi. He arrived at the school just as the bell was ringing, signaling the end of the day. Ahvi came running out, her backpack bouncing behind her, and flung herself into Naksh's arms.
"Chachu, Chachu!" she said joyfully
Naksh laughed and swung her up into a hug.
"Hey, kiddo! How was your day?"
Ahvi chattered excitedly about her classes and her friends, and Naksh listened attentively, smiling. He loved hearing about her adventures and was always happy to be a part of her life.
As they walked home, Ahvi skipped along beside him, asking him questions about his day and listening wide-eyed to his stories. Naksh felt a sense of contentment wash over him, grateful for this special bond he shared with his niece.
As they walked, Naksh noticed that Ahvi was unwrapping some chocolates. He asked her,
"Kisne diye yeh chocolates, kiddo?"
(Who gave you these chocolates?)Ahvi's eyes sparkled mischievously as she replied,
"Mere new subject teacher neh diye. Meine apne math ki exam meh acha performance kiya."
(My new subject teacher cause I scored well in math exam.)Naksh chuckled and ruffled her hair.
"Ah, congratulations on your exam, kiddo! But don't eat too many chocolates, okay? You know what happens when you have too much sugar."
Ahvi giggled and nodded, her ponytail bobbing up and down.
"I know, Chachu. But just one or two won't hurt, right?"
Naksh smiled and handed her a chocolate.
"Okay, fine. But just one more. And then we're going home and having a healthy snack, deal?"
Ahvi grinned and hugged him.
"Deal, Chachu!"
After entering the home, Naksh spent some quality time with Ahvi, relaxing and unwinding.
They chatted about her day, her friends, and her interests. He listened attentively, asking questions and making her laugh.
Later, they sat down to have a meal together.
Ahvi chattered excitedly about her favorite TV show, and Naksh listened patiently, nodding his head and making supportive noises.
After the meal, he went to freshen up, He washed his face, changed into comfortable clothes, and settled down on the couch with his laptop.
As he opened his laptop, he felt a sense of focus wash over him.
He was ready to tackle his work again, feeling refreshed and rejuvenated after spending time with Ahvi.
He dived back into his work, typing away on his laptop as Ahvi settled down beside him, watching TV or playing games on her tablet.
The atmosphere was peaceful, with only the occasional sound of typing or Ahvi's giggles breaking the silence.
Naksh worked steadily, making progress on his tasks, feeling grateful for the balance he had achieved in his life.
He was able to manage his work and spend quality time with his loved ones, and that was all that mattered.
