Naksh's smirk grew wider as he gazed at Arohi's flushed face, her eyes watering from the spiciness. He took pleasure in seeing her struggle, his earlier annoyance forgotten.
"Arohi mam, enjoying the snacks?" Naksh asked, his voice laced with amusement.
Arohi glared at him, her voice hoarse from the spiciness. "You...you did this on purpose."
Naksh chuckled. "Maybe I wanted to see you in this state."
Arohi's eyes narrowed. "You're enjoying this, aren't you?"
Naksh's grin confirmed her suspicion.
Arohi refocused on teaching Ahvi, trying to shake off the lingering discomfort from the spicy snack.
Ahvi, oblivious to the earlier tension, listened intently as Arohi explained complex concepts in simple terms.
As the lesson progressed, Arohi's throat continued to burn, and her eyes watered intermittently.
She discreetly sipped water, trying not to draw attention to her distress.
Ahvi noticed Arohi's subtle gestures.
"Arohi mam, are you okay? You seem...uncomfortable."
Arohi forced a smile. "I'm fine, Ahvi. Just a bit...Sensitive to spices."
Ahvi's expression turned concerned. "Should I call Chachu."
Arohi's eyes darted towards Naksh's room, her mind racing.
"N..no don't distrub him, I'm fi..ine"
The lesson concluded, and Ahvi left for her next activity.
Arohi remained, still feeling the effects of the spicy snack.
She wondered if Naksh's actions were intentional, a prank
After few more seconds....
Ahvi rushed into Naksh's room, concern etched on her face.
"Chachu, Chachu! Arohi mam is...she's crying!"
Naksh looked up from his work, surprised.
"What? Why?"
Ahvi's words tumbled out.
"She was teaching me, and then she started scratching her neck and...and tears began streaming down her face!"
Naksh's expression changed from curiosity to alarm.
He quickly rose from his chair and followed Ahvi back to the living room.
Arohi sat, her body shaking as she struggled to contain her tears.
Her neck and face were flushed, and her eyes streamed with tears.
Naksh's gaze locked onto Arohi's distressed face, and for a moment, his smirk from earlier faltered.
He hadn't realized...
"Arohi mam, I..." Naksh began, but Arohi's anguished voice cut him off.
"Water...please," she stammered, her throat constricted.
Naksh swiftly grabbed a glass of water from the kitchen and handed it to Arohi.
She gulped it down, still gasping for relief.
Ahvi hovered nearby, worried. "Chachu, should we call a doctor?"
Naksh hesitated before responding,
"Let's see if she's better after drinking some more water."
