"congrats" I said to her "thanks" she blandly replied "what's wrong?".
"I honestly don't know, we did everything to win pero wala eh, I'm so disappointed in myself" she let out a sight, I took a gaze at her.
"I'm proud of you, all of you, always remember that" I gave her a warm smile which she reciprocated with a smile too.
"We might have lost the competition, but at least you guys did your very best to represent our school and that is all that matters"

"For what?"
"For being here, it means a lot to us" I honestly didn't go here to see them all, well I support our school but the main reason I'm here is to see Aiah, only Aiah.
"No biggie, anything to support our school"
So this is how it feels when you're talking to your crush about obvious behaviors and stuff, you have to lie and think about another reason to avoid getting caught.
"Sus... Para sa school ba o para sa special someone mo?"
'yes, para sa special someone ko! You're my special someone Aiah'
"Pfff I'm not into those kind of things" here we go again with all the lies, patawad lord.
"Weh?" She raised one of her eyebrow "ikaw".
"Ha? Ano?" Shucks bonak! Ang Tanga mo talaga MJ!!!
"Ikaw...? Do you have a special someone na ba?''
Damn that was a close call.
"I don't, I'm still healing after Jeremy and I'm not interested in getting into another relationship pa"
Hearing those words made my heart shatter, grabe at first she hates me tapos now that we're ok ito!?
Why is my life so miserable?
"Uhmm Sige I'll go ahead na Aiah, see you tomorrow" I left her right after, when I got to my car I let out a sight " come on Mikha Lim, sa dami ng taong pwede mo magustuhan bakit s'ya pa?".
I drove off and stopped at the nearest convenience store I could find, I entered the place and bought a few things.
3 cans of beer and Doritos.
I then went to my safe space, a place where there is peace, all I can hear is the wind blowing, watching the moon and the stars from afar.
I remember coming here when my cat died, I cried so hard and let all my pain out, it still hurts but I know I can fight it.
As I took a sip of my beer there was a firefly, it was resting on my hand, I looked at it as it glowed.
"A Firefly, it's just like Aiah, glowing and beautiful"
"well, sucks to say but I can't have her, she only thinks of me as her friend, pain..."
|THE PRESENT|
"Uhmm, Ms. Lim we're here"
Nagulat nalang Ako nang biglang nag salita Yung driver "Oh sorry, thank you kuya!".
I took a step outside and some people already recognized me "OMG! Mikha Lim!!!".
They took photos with me and I even asked for autographs.
When I entered the venue, I could see so many people, some were familiar to me and the others... I probably forgot about them.
Well it's been a long time ever since I left BUP and a lot of things have changed since then.
"Mikhs!"
"Huy dudes, I knew y'all would come, ang boring naman kung di kayo pupunta"
"Well we just missed BUP kaya I think it's cool na umattend"
"Well I gotta go sa back stage, see you later dudes"
I went in the back stage and saw some band and soloists getting ready.
"Ms.Lim!"
"Oh hey"
She took me to my seat and she did a little retouch on me.
"Ms.Lim, you're up next" The staff told me "ok thanks".
Why am I nervous? I'm used to this already but I still feel a little bit nervous.
"Ok our next soloist is a proud Bloom of BUP, she graduated BUP as Class valedictorian and she was also a part of the SC, the BUP volleyball captain! Mikha Lim!"
I entered the stage and people went extatic "Wow, I didn't know you had so many fans Kap?".
"Your right, pati nga Ako na sho shock eh" the host giggled and so did I.
"So Kap, what are you going to sing for us tonight? Is it one of your original?"
"Well yes, it's one of my original songs, tonight I'm gonna be singing to you all umaasa"
"Grabe naman ang title ng song na Yan Kap! Umaasa talaga?"
"Ok blooms, again Kap Mikha Lim!!"
"Paano hihilom ang sugat na gawa sa pag mamahalan? Pag mamahalan"
"Mag babalik ang nakaraan, I babalik ang pinag mulan, umaasa, umaasa"
As the song ended the crowd gave me a loud applause"grabe naman si Mikha Lim!"
That sounds familiar"pardon?"
"I said grabe naman si Mikha Lim"
"Oh ok, thank you"
I went back stage and saw Jhoanna sitting there looking at me "tulala ka no? Grabe naman si Mikha Lim! Haha"
She teased "shut up, Tara na nga"
"Bro, is it ok?"
"Yung alin?"
"Shared table"
"Pff I don't give as damn, Tara na" kinampay ko sya but she just stood there "sure ka ha?"
"Yes I'm sure, so let's go"
"Baka nakalimutan mo, sinulat mo Yung kantang yon para sa kanya" I stopped walking and looked at Jhoanna "Just be quiet".
As we were walking back to our shared table I saw Jeremy with someone, it was another girl and from what i saw, Jeremy was trying to flirt and touch her.
I looked down and acted like I saw nothing, Jho didn't notice.
When we arrived, we saw the six of them talking "Uy dude! You rocked it kahit ang sakit ng kanta mo!".
"Kaya nga, no wonder you're so famous, ang daming nakaka relate sa kanta mo, Diba?" They nodded "sus mga bolera".
"Upo na kayo"
There were 3 vacant seats and I can say that one of them is for that asshole.
"Mikhs dun kana lang sa tabi ni ate Aiah"
