" The thirst of his touch, a long wish to fulfill"
In the hollow of my chest, a void echoes
A chasm carved by your absence, a grief that festers
The miles between us, a morass of despair
A heavy fog that clings, a damp shroud that wrapsYour touch, a flicker of warmth in the dark
A fleeting solace, a moment's spark
But like a candle in the wind, it gutters out
Leaving me to face the blackness, without a doubtMy heart, a battleground, a war-torn terrain
Where love and longing, in conflict, reign
The distance stretches, a taut, thin wire
A fragile thread, that binds us, like a funeral pyreIn dreams, I see your face, a ghostly apparition
A haunting reminder, of our separation's desolation
I reach for you, but grasp only air
A hollow comfort, that leaves me bareYet still I hold on, to the shards of our love
A jagged, broken thing, sent from above
A bittersweet reminder, of what we had found
A love that's lost, yet still, in my heart, resounds."
