"A Broken Generation"
In this hollowed existence, we wander, lost,
A generation forsaken, forgetful of life's essence.
The world's toxic grasp has tainted our sight,
Exposing us to the darkest recesses of human nature's plight.Goodness and kindness, virtues once revered,
Now exploited, leaving us drained, unheeded.
Money's cold grip holds power's reins,
Emotions, a liability, a weakness that stains.Love, reduced to carnal lust,
Marriage, a contract, a soulless trust.
Justice, a mockery, a hollow phrase,
A distant memory, lost in life's maze.We merely survive, not live,
Sweetness turned bitter, hope's final leave.
The fire that once drove us to explore,
Now smothered, ashes of a dreamless core. Was the darkness born within the womb's confines?
Or did this cruel world infect our earliest lines?
The question haunts, a persistent refrain,
As I search for answers, in vain.In this desolate landscape, I find my place,
A stranger, lost, in a world without a face.
