Chapter XVI

Exhausted the three continued to ran, people were also running besides them screaming the top of their lungs.

"Y/n! Kuina! Ann!" A voice called them, they immediately spotted Arisu and Usagi. "Arisu!" Kuina yelled as they ran towards the pair.

The five hid behind a car as gunshots can still be heard, "it's been a while." Ann spoke. "You're all okay. I'm so glad." Usagi told them in relief.

Y/n her inner cheek, the female who they just had betrayed was relief that they were still alive, that made Y/n a bit guilty.

"It's good to see you again." Kuina smiled at the short haired female then turn to Arisu, "Did Chishiya make it?" She questioned,

The question made Y/n also turn her head over to the male. He paused for a few seconds before answering, "Yeah." He stare at the ground contemplating whether to answer her with a lie.

"I saw him. He's good." He finally answers, Y/n wasn't convinced though. She was getting a bad feeling but decided to push the feelings away. "Great."

Diverting the topic Ann spoke. "Looks like the King of Spades wants to settle things here." Kuina added to Ann's statement, "We'll take the King down together." In which the four nodded their head agreeing with the brunette.

The a bullet hit the car they were hiding at, the five peek their head over and saw the King of Spades killing other players.

People started hiding to where their location was so they ran to avoid getting caught by the flying bullets.

The King was shooting everywhere, Ann being unfortunate had bump into another person making them both collide with the ground.

"Ann!" Y/n yelled a worried plaster on her face. Arisu pointed his gun at the King but before he could even shoot the King beat him to it making the two hide.

Y/n was about to ran straight to the King to save Ann but was held back by Usagi. Teary eyed she stare at the short haired girl.

Fortunately Kuina kicked a car's rearview mirror hitting the King on the back of his head, letting go of Ann.

Just then a car appeared out of nowhere hitting the King sending him flying with the car, when the car hit another vehicle it immediately exploded.

With caution players came out of their hiding spots just to star at the burning car.

"Yeah! We did it!" One of the player celebrated, and soon the others started to join him.

The player raised his arms in the air clearly happy when bullets struck him, "How the fuck is he still alive?" Y/n breathed.

The King of Spades emerged from the fire removing his cape, revealing a baled man. When the King and Arisu held eye contact he started to shoot where they were at.

The three immediately ran and hid. Usagi had swiftly got away from the King, and just when he was about to reload Arisu took the opportunity and tried to shoot him.

He had missed but that still gave Usagi to properly hide, the King aimed his gun again when he was shot by an arrow.

Turning his attention now on other players Arisu grab Y/n by the arm and ran towards Usagi as they hid behind a opened structure.

The three also saw their two female comrades hiding. The only thing that can be heard was gunshots, "Arisu." An unfamiliar voice called taking the attention of the five.

A female with a bow and arrow came jogging towards them, "Heya." Arisu called the female.

"Are you Usagi?" She asked, the short haired female nodded. "Yeah." Heya smiled, "Good to meet you."

She gave Arisu a teasing smile, then another voice spoke, "He'll run out of ammo soon. Stay in here where there's cover." It was Aguni.

"Aguni?" Usagi called in disbelief, everyone thought he was dead. "Aguni. What are you doing here?" In worried Heya questioned the man.

Aguni came closer on where they were, "I followed you here." He answered, the answer made the female smile. "So you do love me."

Dismissing the female Aguni began again. "He's just a human. He's not invincible. And as for his guns, he won't be able to shoot forever. Once he runs out of ammo, he'll need to restock. I think they drop supplies from the blimps."

"We've all got weapons." Arisu answered, Y/n took a knife out off her sweatpants pocket. It was a small pocket knife but still it was better than nothing.

"But this is all the ammo I've got left." Aguni told them, inserting the magazine on the rifle.

The group had now started a plan on how to defeat the King of Spades, "I almost forgot." Kuina started, she took something from her pocket, it was the diy bomb that Chishiya had made.

"My good luck charm. This is the bomb Chishiya made." She told the group, upon hearing his name, the h/cnette started to miss the male's presence.

Aguni repeated his name, "A lot of good that toy will do us." He spoke, Arisu took the bomb from Kuina's hand. "We can lure him in and use it at close range."

He then smell the bomb, "From the way it smells, I'm guessing the bomb contains kerosene."

"An ANFO bomb." Ann added, "Then the explosion it makes won't be that big." Aguni answered,

Arisu pointed at the drug with his eyes as the background was still filled with gunshots. "I can see a drugstore over there. If we can fill it up with gas, then the explosion will be bigger."

The plan was solid, executing it on the other was harder than it looks. "Are you sure?" Aguni questioned Arisu's plan.

He stare at the bigger male, "Probably." He answered, "I don't like where this is going." Y/n sweat dropped.

"So you're saying, someone needs to lure the King of Spades in there?" Kuina quizzed. "Yeah. I'll wait for him inside the store and then trigger it."

Y/n bit her inner cheek, "Are you really trying to kill yourself?" Ann agreed with her statement, but Arisu reassured the two, ending his sentence with a probably.

"You're crazy." Y/n muttered, they all continued to discuss the plan. Aguni then volunteered to lure the King yet in the end everyone disagree saying they'll help him lure the King while Arisu should wait inside.
