Saylor
If this was a day shoot, Saylor would be fine. She'd take her photos, pretend Audrey didn't exist, and move along with her life. She'd forget Audrey entirely. But this wasn't a day shoot, this was a 'you're going to model all our Summer clothes for this catalogue!' shoot, and that made Saylor want to crawl into a hole and die.
God, what she'd give to wipe that stupid smirk off Audrey's face.
Memories of what could've been stained the insides of Saylor's mind like permanent marker. Seeing Audrey in person confirmed her worst fears; she really did still love her. But she's never know if Audrey felt the same, as that girl loved her petty games like a man loves his dog.
"Sasha, could you move a little to the left?" Audrey asked, taking a moment to let her eyes rake up and down Saylor's body. "My name is Saylor," she said through clenched teeth, moving across the white painted corner. Todd seemed to sense the tension between the girls. "Can we keep things polite here, please?" he asked. "My beautiful, gorgeous women should get along."
Well, he was a creep. Saylor smiled, and looked intently at Audrey, not letting her gaze move for the slightest moment. She didn't know what the end goal of it all was, but seeing Audrey even the smallest bit flustered was a win. It shouldn't have been a win, Saylor shouldn't care. It didn't matter, not when Audrey was nothing to her now. Just a photographer. Just the pretty brunette behind the camera with sleepy eyes.

Maisie's car smelt like blueberries, and so did Audrey. "Your car smells like Audrey's perfume," Saylor said, getting into the passenger seat of Maisie's car. She looked up from the steering wheel, confused. "Audrey Evelyn?" she asked. "Oh yeah, we work together now," Saylor stated nonchalantly, as though it was the most chill thing ever. Maisie's jaw dropped. It was fun to spring things on Maisie like that. "Are you okay? What the fuck? When? How? Huh?" she rambled out, looking around the car as though there were a bunch of hidden cameras she had to make eye contact with. Maisie always acted as though she was the character who broke the fourth wall. "Why didn't you call me? Or text? Or at least snap me back?"
Having a friend in Florida was a blessing, Saylor didn't have to go through her awkward making friends stage. Maisie flatted a couple streets over from Saylor, with a boy called Daniel. He was a riot, and had made Saylor cry laugh more times than she could count.
"Pesto pasta for dinner," Maisie said, walking into her living room. "Daniel! Feet off my fucking cushion!" Daniel lifted his feet from the cushion so fast, anyone would've thought Maisie could shoot bullets from her gaze. Saylor laughed, and smiled at her best friend. Laughing made it all feel better, made the knot loosen, but more importantly, distracted her from Audrey. She'd already cried twice, and Daniel had just sang Chappell Roan, girl in red, and Sabrina Carpenter songs until she stopped.
But now it was too much. Laughing turned to crying in the blink of an eye... god, was she losing her mind? Daniel made a tutting sound with his tongue, before dramatically clearing his throat.
"In the wise words of Sabrina Carpenter; don't smile because it happened, baby, cry because it's over!"
Saylor groaned. "Not right now, Daniel."
