Saylor
"Sorry, why is she coming?" Saylor asked, trying her absolute best to sound polite, even though Audrey was glaring at her from the car seat next to her. "She needs runway photo practice, I got her a permit." Todd explained, winking at Audrey. Saylor smiled. "How nice of you," she muttered, not giving a rats ass whether she sounded polite or not that time. Audrey didn't say a word, just continued to pick at her manicure. There was a fleeting moment where Saylor's hand almost shot out to grab Audrey's, before time caught up to her and she remembered where she was and who she was.
The 48 hours before the fashion show had gone by in like... 48 seconds. Saylor had tried to ask Maisie about confidence, but she just gave her a very wise lecture on just being true to yourself. Daniel was no help either, having just laughed and strutted around the living room while singing HOT TO GO. So Saylor was plunging into the deep end. Except the deep end was full of sharks and she wasn't a strong swimmer.
The driver turned on the radio once the silence in the car got too intense; Todd had fallen asleep and Audrey and Saylor were not about to make small talk. But of course, the universe was not on Saylor's side and Olivia Rodrigo started playing on the pop music station.
"I know you get deja vu!"
The second those lyrics hit the back seat of the car, Audrey had her headphones on and Saylor was biting at her nails.

"Looking hot!" Caitlyn smiled, putting the finishing touches on Saylor's makeup. It was true, she looked smoking hot, she wasn't the only thing smoking hot though; the room holding the catwalk was stuffy the second Saylor stepped it. But that might've just been because Audrey was standing extremely close to her.
Seven minutes till catwalk time. Saylor was great at this. She could walk down a runway in her sleep... and she did, in her nightmares at least, when everyone would laugh and point. Today would be different though, as this was new Saylor. She took a deep breath and gave Caitlyn a little hug goodbye, before joining the line of models backstage.
This is what she'd always wanted... so why didn't it feel normal? That constant yearn for the feeling she'd previously felt was stronger than ever, and now she knew why. It wasn't the posing itself that gave her that feeling, it was Audrey's eyes from behind the camera, but now they weren't warm and soft eyes, they were cold and emotionless. This wasn't her Audrey, but then again, she wasn't the girl she'd been back then.
With shuffling feet, Saylor walked towards the entrance to the runway. She straightened her posture and tried to soothe her trembling hands. This was fine, everything was fine. One foot in front of the other... one foot in front of the other.
Out in the crowd were Audrey's piercing eyes; they were fixated on Saylor. She paused at the end of the runway and then froze, suddenly terrified. Her throat felt like it was full of saw dust, or dry cereal. Audrey's eyes softened as Saylor met them, and Audrey nodded, before looking away. Saylor felt her body warm up, allowing her to continue back down the catwalk.
Another secret moment, but a happier one. A truce? A spark? Or had Saylor imagined it entirely?
