Basketball Camp Flirts

"You guys need to work on working together and communicating with each other on the court!" Coach Jane screams. "Boys, go pick a girl! And girls, if you still believe in cooties then get over it!"

I'm anxiously waiting for one of the boys to pick me. I always get that feeling that no one's going to pick me, or I'll be picked last. But, there is this boy who always seems to be looking at me, his name's Shawn. He's cute and quiet.

Shawn snaps me out of your thoughts, "(y/n)? Wanna be my partner?"

I flash a smile, thankful that I got picked. "I'd love to."

I grab a ball and start doing some shooting and dribbling drills. "Wow, you're really good. You're about to put me to shame," Shawn chuckles.

"Yeah, whatever, Shawn," I feel myself blushing at his compliment, but I try my hardest to hide it. I hear him laugh as he makes his way over to me, dribbling the ball.

"Let's practice defense," Shawn suggests.

"Alright, who's on defense first?" I ask.

"Me," and with that he gets into his defensive stance. Man does he look hot when he's sweaty. I start to dribble the ball, crossing him and switching hands. Shawn's all over me playing defense, so much that I'm able to smell him. Even though he's all sweaty, he still smells like axe spray. I make my way to the hoop and find myself trapped between him and the basket. He was a good half-foot taller than me so it would hard to shoot over him, but not impossible.

"Looks like I've trapped you, babe," he whispers in my ear, sending chills down my spine. He slips his arm around my waist and attempts to place a kiss on my cheek. I take this as an opportunity to fake him out and make the shot. 

"Nice try, Mendes," I tease. I look at him and see that his cheeks are red with embarrassment, or from the sweat. But, with the way I totally dodged his move, it's probably embarrassment. 

"You're fast, I like it,"he finally speaks up. "Now that you scored a basket, would you be interested in scoring a date with me?" he asks. 

"That is incredibly cheesy, I love it," I laugh.

"Yes?"

"Yes.
