I'm walking up the steps to Shawn's house when I hear the smoke detector going off. As I open the door I see Shawn grunting and jumping, waving an oven mitt in the air. I walk into the kitchen to see that it's all smokey.
"Shawn? Baby, what the heck is going on?" I ask, pointing to the smokey kitchen while stifling my laughter.
"I burnt my muffins!" Shawn exclaims, waving his hands in the air causing me to laugh more.
"Here let me help you clean up," I say as I walk over to Shawn. "Lift me up on your shoulders so I can try to shut that thing off!"
Shawn bends down and I get on his shoulders. Once I'm secure I begin to wave the oven mitt at the detector to make it stop going off. When it finally stops I get off of Shawn's shoulders and go to open the kitchen and living room windows to let the smoke out. Shawn takes the muffins out to the trash and I wash the tins.
Once we're all done, I sit on the couch and check my twitter feed.
"Ahem," Shawn clears his throat causing me to look up. "I didn't get my hug and kiss," he pouts.
"How could I forget?" I giggle and wrap my arms around his neck and peck his lips. He then engulfs me into a tight hug and purposely nudges me backward so we fall back onto the couch. He's now on top of me as he showers my face with kisses.
Soon we sit up and stare at each other. "So tell me, how'd you burn the muffins?" I ask.
"Well," he chuckles, "I knew you were coming over so I decided to make some muffins. I made the batter and put them in the tins no problem, I just forgot about them. Once I put them into the oven I went up to my room to finish some songs. I got so lost in the music that the only thing that made me remember them was the smoke detector."
"What am I gonna do with you?" I laugh as I look at my beautiful boyfriend.
