Downstairs

All the guests were doing their own thing—some were chatting while drinking wine, some were dancing, and others were enjoying the music. Mr. Wins and Mrs. Wins were talking to one of their business partners. I was in my room because the bracelet I wore had broken, so I decided to keep it there after asking Azar for permission to leave.

(Eve looked toward the drawer and opened it, placing the bracelet carefully inside its case. As she started to leave the room, the lights suddenly went out. She knew it was part of the setup for Ray's grand entrance, so she stayed in her room.)

As Ray began walking downstairs, the lights followed him. All the guests turned to look at him; some were practically drooling, and others were jealous—and why wouldn't they be? His aura was so strong, so dominating, like that of a king. He looked as handsome as a Greek god in his red silk shirt, black pants, polished boots, and a black coat that completed his outfit. His naturally curled hair framed his face, and his deep, dark eyes held such dominance that they could make anyone kneel. As he reached the bottom of the stairs, his father, Dax, and Azar approached him.

Dax: "Welcome home, brother," he said, hugging him.

Ray: (He smiled and returned the hug.)

Mrs. Wins: "All my sons are looking handsome tonight."

Mr. Wins: "After all, I am their father," he teased.

The three brothers watched their parents banter with amusement.

Azar: "Who's looking more handsome, me or the others?"

Mrs. Wins and Mr. Wins smiled and answered in unison: "Ray," who laughed, knowing that would be the response.

Azar pouted, knowing it was true, and looked at Ray, who smiled sheepishly. Azar: "You may be more handsome than me, but I have the most beautiful thing in the world with me—my Bubble," Azar said with a soft smile.

Everyone nodded in agreement except for Ray and Azar. Ray frowned at the mention of the name and, looking toward Azar, asked, Ray: "Who is his bubble?"

Azar: "Oh, she's here..." As Azar began to answer, the Wins family, along with Ray, looked toward the girl descending the stairs. The lights that had been focused on Ray's grand entrance were now on her. All the guests and servants were watching her, captivated by the sight before them.

Eve showed no expression as she calmly walked down the stairs, completely unaware of the effect her presence had on everyone in the room.

Eve's POV

Why is everyone staring at me? I checked myself to find any fault, but there was none. I tried to take another step, but the attention on me made me nervous.

I suddenly stopped and frowned while looking around at everyone. I glanced at Azar, who was looking at me without blinking, and I arched my eyebrows in question. Azar cleared his throat. Everyone looked at him, except Ray; the guests resumed their previous activities, and the servants returned to their duties.

Mrs. Wins: "Eve, you look beautiful," she said with a smile.

(I looked down at my outfit and everything. I was still in the same clothes, the same makeup. Mrs. Wins had seen me earlier, so why was she complimenting me now? I felt confused.)

Azar looked at me.

(He gently kissed my forehead.) Azar: "Oh, my Bubble, you look perfect."

I nodded my head.

Third Person's POV

Dax watched every expression on Ray's face as he looked at Eve. He noticed how Ray didn't blink, how he didn't react when Azar cleared his throat, how his eyes darkened when Azar kissed Eve's forehead, and how his fists clenched so tightly that his knuckles turned white. As Ray started walking toward his room, Dax, sensing something was wrong, followed him. No one noticed, as all attention was on Eve and Azar, except for Ahvi.

When Dax reached Ray's room, he heard the sound of things breaking. He rushed inside and saw his brother, his eyes red and hands bleeding, shouting in a fit of rage.

Ray: "Why? Why? Why?" Ray yelled, his breath heavy with anger.

Dax, visibly shaken, spoke in a soft, cautious voice. Dax: "Ray..."

Ray turned toward him, grabbing him by the throat and slamming him against the wall.

Ray: "You knew, didn't you? And you didn't stop it!"

Dax, turning pale, managed to speak despite the pressure. Dax: "I only found out seven days ago, after you finally told me about her. I wasn't sure at first, but when you started describing her, I knew this girl named Eve had to be the same one. I was scared, Ray. You have to forget her—it's too late."

Ray took a deep breath, torn between his love for his brothers and the overwhelming obsession he had for the girl he'd just seen minutes ago.

Dax, seeing Ray begin to loosen his grip, spoke softly, his eyes full of concern. Ray: "I've been in love with her for three years, searching for her everywhere, in every corner of the world. Do you even understand how much my love, my obsession, has grown for her? And now you're telling me to forget her? ARE YOU INSANE?" he shouted.

Dax: "Eve has been with us since her birth, but Mom and Dad kept her hidden. They brought her to this house when she turned 19," Dax said, looking into Ray's now emotionless eyes.
