I slowly stood up and walked over to the water's edge. I dipped my finger into the cold, clear water and then I said in a quiet voice, "Why would you help me?"
"T-the reason I want to help you, is because, well it's because of my experience with the Sunlock Tribe," she said as she slowly turned away and rested her left hand on the glossy, wet, stone wall.
"Wait," I said with alert, "is the Sunlock Tribe that group of girls I met with earlier?" After I said that I felt stupid, how would she know if I met them before!
"I don't know if you've encountered them before or not but they are a vicious tribe of warriors and they will never stop until they get what they want." She said with hate and anger filling her voice.
"And what is this that they are looking for?" I asked her, but I felt that I already knew the answer.
"The coveted bracelet of Sunlock, I've never seen it but I know it's out there." Said the girl as she walked over to the river and sat down next to me. Without drawing attention to myself, I took off the bracelet I had been wearing and stuffed it into one of my worn, leather pockets on the inside of my old brown coat.
"Well, why don't we look for a way out of here." I said trying to hastily change the topic of our conversation. Without any words said, she walked away and looked around for a away out.
"There isn't a way out near us, but I say we set up camp and rest here for awhile," the mysterious girl said as she picked up her broken bow that she had been using to attack me earlier in the day and the rest of her arrows and threw them into a pile and then somehow created a fire that I huddled near, not realizing how cold I had been.
"So," I said in a small voice, "why did you leave the tribe?"
"I really don't want to speak of that at the moment." She said with a quaver in her voice.
After awhile of silence, I laid on my back and closed my eyes and fell asleep, hoping for a night without any dreams. I woke up and the first thing I saw was the vines that hung from the top of the cave. I propped myself up with my arms and looked over at the girl. She was laying on the stone and breathing lightly as if she were scared.
Not wanting to wake her up, I walked over to the river and splashed some of the frigid water on my face. Then I waded through the river to the other side to see if there was a way out. Once I got about fifteen feet out, it began to get deeper and much more cold. I could see the other side clearly but I was so cold and weak my vision became fuzzy. I quickly swam to the other side and laid on the shore and gulped air, for my arms were sore from swimming.
I looked at the ground and noticed on this side instead of rock, there was bleach white sand. I ran to the side of the void and touched the rocky surface. The moment my palm pressed against the wet stone, the wall deformed into a giant beast like figure and then it shaped a boulder with it's hands then whipped it at me and then everything went dark.
