The classroom grew eerily silent, each passing second intensifying the awkward tension.

"L-lies! She's got a boyfriend," Akina protested, throwing you a skeptical look. "Unless she's cheating, of course," she added with a scoff.

Sukuna appeared as taken aback by the unfolding situation as the rest of the class. They weren't privy to your relationship status, considering you didn't broadcast every detail of your personal life.

"They broke up several days ago," Sukuna blatantly lied, casually shrugging it off. "Me and y/n have known each other for a very long time now, haven't we?" He turned to you with a knowing smirk. "We're always off and on, so," Sukuna leaned back in his chair.

The questions died down, and it seemed like everyone reluctantly accepted the notion of your "new" boyfriend. It irked you, the audacity he had to claim you as his girlfriend in front of everyone when it was far from the truth.

Biting your lower lip to stifle your words, you realized you had no say in this class anymore. The palpable animosity made it clear that everyone disliked you. The thought of changing schools crossed your mind, but it felt like conceding to the label of a perpetual loser.

With a resigned sigh, you walked over to your seat and sat down. Deciding to get it over with, you braced yourself for what lay ahead.

The day seemed to pass more quickly as you dozed through your classes. The bell rang, signaling the end of the school day, and students around you gathered their belongings and headed for the exit. Your so-called friends had continued to ignore you throughout the day, not acknowledging your presence at all.

Not surprisingly, Sukuna had also left with the other boys from the class, leaving you alone in the room. You sighed, dreading the impending detention you still had to endure.

Wearing Sukuna's sports shorts, you had to spend an additional five minutes explaining to the teacher why you were wearing them in the first place.

The explanation only resulted in an extra hour added to your detention. Dragging yourself out of the classroom, you cautiously checked the halls to ensure no one was around before proceeding toward the detention area.

Sliding the door open, you found five people inside: the teacher, a surprisingly nerdy-looking guy, a troublemaker, a girl peacefully sleeping on the desk, and Shoko.

Seated by the window, she appeared to be lost in thought, tapping her pencil on the desk. As soon as you entered, her eyes met yours, a hint of surprise that you were in detention evident on her face.

Holding onto your bag tightly, you made your way over and sat down in front of her, with your back turned. The tension in the room hung heavy as you prepared to endure the next several hours sitting.

The teacher paid no mind, engrossed in her phone scrolling, seemingly disinterested in the detention proceedings. She wanted to get it over with as much as the rest of you.

Shoko tapped her pencil on your shoulder, prompting you to turn around. "Hey," she whispered, her cheek resting against her hand.

Turning fully to face her, you responded with a neutral expression. "Hi."

"You're not actually dating him, are you?" Shoko inquired, seeking clarity. It was hard to believe that you and Sukuna were a couple after what had transpired, especially considering his actions.

Silence lingered as you contemplated how to answer. Was Shoko on your side, or had she aligned herself with the others?

"And what if I am?" you replied, your voice steady and resolute.
