Sukuna had been traveling for a week now. His boxing matches were a series of victories – five wins without a single loss or even a second-place finish.

He was unstoppable in the ring. Despite tormenting you, he thought the distance would free him from thoughts of you, but he couldn't have been more wrong.

You were always on his mind. He had seen the text messages you sent, choosing not to respond. This journey was supposed to help him forget and return to his old self, but he couldn't stop wondering what you were up to. Both of you were so far apart.

"Sukuna, are you coming?" the English man called out, a guy he had fought against yesterday in the ring. Despite coming second, he was tolerable to keep around – not running his mouth most of the time.

"On my way," Sukuna responded, grabbing his coat. They were heading to a club, hoping it might help him forget.

But he couldn't be more wrong. As he arrived at the club and settled down at a table, women surrounded them, showering them with compliments and tracing their bodies with their fingers.

One girl stood out, resembling you with her e/c eyes and h/c hair. Sukuna was drawn to her so he asked her to join them. The woman got on top of Sukuna, smirking as she played with his necklace chain.

Sukuna was already heavily drunk. Normally, alcohol would make him more aggressive and angrier, but this time it seemed different.

The woman in front of him looked exactly like you, and in his intoxicated state, his hands caressed her body as he gazed at her-no you.

A month had slipped away since Sukuna's disappearance, and in that time, much had changed.

During the second week of his absence, you made a conscious effort to move on and forget about him. It was clear he wanted nothing to do with you, and you decided it was best to reciprocate those feelings. Besides, you now had a boyfriend.

A real one.

Nanami took you to the park for a romantic picnic date one night. The setting was unusual, but it made sense when you looked up at the starlit sky. The beauty of the moment was not lost on you. Seizing the opportunity, Nanami asked you out.

You were hesitant at first, feeling a bit confused about your emotions. You didn't experience the same fluttering or skipped beats around Nanami as you did with Sukuna.

However, you reminded yourself it was for the better. But there were suspicions that you might have genuinely fallen for Sukuna so to avoid that, you decided to date Nanami.

Some might perceive it as using him to move on, and in a way, it was true. Yet, your curiosity about Nanami was genuine.

He treated you with utmost care and tenderness, making you feel like the most valuable person in the world.

You even let him sleep over at your house sometimes, leading to your first kiss. It felt strange, nice, but lacked a certain spark. The kiss didn't progress any further, but it did make you more comfortable around him.

As the month passed, you found yourself growing close to Yuji, Nobara, and even the reserved Megumi. Adventures in the city became a regular occurrence, and your bond with Nobara strengthened, especially during shopping sprees.

Despite Megumi's laid-back demeanor, you discovered his genuine affection for his friends. Small gestures like thoughtful gifts and his impeccable memory for their preferences spoke volumes about his character.

Now, the present brought a peculiar mix of anticipation and unease. Yuji informed you and the others that Sukuna was returning today. The thought unsettled you.
