Second chance at first line- P2
Billianna hurriedly rushed toward the boys locker room, a clipboard clutched tightly to her chest. As she saw the door to Finstock's office she quickened her pace and burst through the door with a huff.
Finstock looked up at the girl with wide eyes, he smirked slyly and tapped his watch jokingly. The girl just shook her head with a cheeky smile and placed her clipboard down on the desk.
"Sorry, Bo- Coach." The girl said, correcting her slight slip up. The man's eyes darkened slightly but didn't act on his thoughts.
"Just don't be late again." The man said, a small wink sent her way. He saw the small blush rush to her cheeks and the tiny lip bite that had his knees weakening slightly. As the man went toward the door that connected to the locker room, he handed the oldest McCall his whistle and waved his hand for her to follow him in.
The girl nodded in affirmation and walked into the locker room to see half the team shirtless and the other half decked out in their lacrosse gear; her two best friends included in the shirtless group; her brother and his best friend in their gear.
"Billie!" The girl's eyes shot toward Sam, he had a guilty expression on his face-one Billie wasn't going to let him have the satisfaction of and turned her head away from him.
"I get it!" She heard Stiles exclaim; she saw her brother looked down at the ground dejectedly and felt the urge to go and comfort him. Force him to tell her what was going on. Yet she saw Cameron and Sam make their way over to the two sophomores to find out what was going on.
"Billie." She felt a hand on her shoulder and looked over it to find Finstock with a small smile on his face. One she discovered only reserved for her.
She shot one more glance over at her friends and her brother, before following Coach out to set up for the game.
Billianna walked beside Finstock as they made their way toward the bench, the two completely ignoring Stiles in favour of Jackson.
"How's the shoulder?" Finstock asked, the boy glancing up at his Coach with a smirk and shrugs his shoulders cockily.
"It's fine." He said, Billie rolling her eyes slightly and glancing down at Stiles. The sophomore winked at the girl and mocked the Whitemore's previous statement causing her to giggle slightly.
She saw Finstock glance up at her slightly and she get butterflies soar through her stomach and a blush make its way into her face. Little did she know, Stiles saw Sam looking at her at the sound and connected the wrong dots and a mission plan formed in his brain.
Billie's brought out of her daze by the sound of the referee's whistle; shaking her head slightly she stood next to Finstock with a determined glint in her eye.
Billie watched as her brother took a defensive stance and her eyes looked over to Sam and Cameron who were in their own defensive stances.
"Down!" The referee calls, Jackson and his opponent crouching down; their sticks ready to fight for the ball.
Billie cast a glance over at the bench to see Sheriff Stilinski and Stiles having a brief conversation. Her eyes were then drawn toward Finstock who was looking at her with those eyes; she felt the heat return to her cheeks and quickly looked away.
"Set!" The referee called again and all the players sprung into action. Though, fairly quickly the McCall girl notices the players avoiding her brother's calls for the ball and passing between each other. A small fire of rage built up in her and she huffed.
She watched as Jackson was thrown down, the ball falling out and away from him. She watched Scott make a move for the ball but what thrown aside by Jackson who quickly scooped up the ball and ran off.
"That's it Jackson!" Finstock exclaimed, Billie turning her head incredulously toward the man; she saw him purposely avoid her gaze. "Get fired up!"
"Unbelievable." Billie whispered whilst shaking her head, she turned and went and sat on the bench beside Stiles who just glanced at the girl nervously, the boy gnawing on his nails trying to cope with his obvious anxiety.
"Brutal..." Stiles whispered, the girl next to him looking at him confused before turning her head and noticing the sign Lydia and the new girl were holding up.
'WE LUV U JACKSON!'
"Oh for fuck sake." Billie said angrily, her eyes burning holes into Lydia's skull. The red head caught sight of the glare and almost faltered with her sign.
Her eyes turned back to the team and saw them huddle; she saw Danny try to protest but was met with a scold from Jackson. Her eyes briefly darted over to Sam and Cameron who huddled around her brother; she smiled slightly knowing her little brother had someone to turn to.
The girl's eyes shoot over to Finstock who waves her over; she nods her head takes her place beside him.
"We should talk later." The man said lowly, his usual cocky tone gone from his voice. Billie's eyes were as wide as saucers her heart beginning to thump rapidly in her chest.
"O-okay, where?" She stuttered out, the man looked down at her and she could tell he didn't think that far ahead.
"Shit." She heard him whisper under his breath; the man not knowing what to do next or where to go to have his little talk.
"Hold on." Billie said with a small smile and began to make her way over to the bleachers, she spot Jean and Amelia and rushed as fast as could toward the two girls.
They looked at her quizzically, unsure as to why she wasn't focusing on the game with Finstock. Though their brows raised suggestively at their questioning, leaving no room for Billie to ask them her favour.
"Look, look!" She exclaimed, the two girls silencing immediately, "I need you to cover for me tonight." The two girls looked at each other and then back at Billie, both of them looking over at Sam and Cameron hoping that maybe she was going to one of theirs.
Yet Jean couldn't make sense why she would need cover for going to her best friends house.
"Yeah fine, but you owe us." The two said with sly grins. Billie grinned back at them and rushed over toward her mother who'd been watching Scott become excluded from the team; drinking his water away from the majority and Sam and Cameron on either side of him.
"Ma!" Billie exclaimed whilst seating herself beside her mother, "is it okay if I go to the girls house tonight?" Melissa turned to smile at her daughter and glanced down at the two girls in question who talked and giggle amongst themselves.
"Yeah okay." Melissa gave in, and placed a kiss on her daughter's forehead.
