WOLF MOON
Billianna grinned as she caught sight of her two best friends; her brother and his best friend stood not too far from them. The two Sophomores were engaged in a conversation that Billie couldn't be bothered to care about, her attention drawn toward Finstock.
"McCall!" Finstock exclaimed, Scott turning toward the man and Billie blushing when she saw Finstock briefly glance in her direction.
Billie saw her brother answer, a part of her wanted to move closer to hear what Finstock replied with. To hear his voice a little better.
The girl watched as Coach shoved a larger stick and a helmet into her brothers chest; Billie's eyes widening and a laugh escaping her lungs.
Sam looked up at his best friend and turned his head to what she was laughing at; the older Stilinski chuckling as well.
Billie watches as all the Lacrosse boys begin to line up, her brother in the goal, Finstock looking around in confusion. He turned toward Stiles who was sat on the bench and said something to the boy.
Said boy turned and caught sight of Billie, the girl looking at the sophomore in confusion.
"McCall, you're my whistle blower!" Finstock exclaimed, the Juniors eyes widening and began to rush over toward them. She hadn't realised that the shadow program extended to after school activities.
"Sorry, Coach." Billie whispered as she made her way beside Finstock, the man handing his whistle to her. With a quick nod of his head and a wink the girl blew the whistle.
She was shocked to see Scott wince in pain, her eyes drawn to him solely. Then Jackson Whittemore sent a ball hurdling straight into her brothers face.
"Way to catch with your face, McCall!" The boy exclaimed, Billie scowling at the cocky Captain. She heard Finstock chuckle beside her; the girl then lifting her leg and sent her food slamming down on Finstock's toe. The man yelling out in shock and pain.
"What the fu-" he stopped himself immediately, thinking it was better not to swear at a teenager.
The girl was currently glaring at him, the man feeling a slight pang of guilt.
"You got this, Scotty!" Billianna exclaimed, sending a reassuring smile toward her little brother. The boy huffing and shaking out his shoulders preparing for the next shot.
"Go, Cameron!" Lydia exclaimed, Billie turning toward the red head with a fond smile. The older Martin sending an apologetic look at Scott and tossed the ball with all his strength.
As the ball flew through the air, Billie prepared for loud smack sound but nothing came. Everyone stared shocked at the ball sat in the net of Scott's lacrosse stick. He'd caught the ball.
Billie looked up to see Finstock with a shocked expression plastered on his face, the man glancing down at the older McCall as if to ask 'Did you know he could do this?'
As the practice continued, Scott caught every ball thrown at him. Billianna staring shocked and confused; she was confused as to why his asthma hadn't acted up just yet.
Concern shot through her body when she saw Sam stand up to throw his ball at Scott. This was the boy who turned down Captain, who turned down a scholarship. This was Samual Stilinski, best lacrosse player that had come out of Beacon Hills High.
Sam grinned as he looked at his best friends little brother, the boy in goal gulping nervously.
"I won't go easy on you, Scotty!" He exclaimed, making Scott's nerves worse.
With a small run up, Sam tossed the ball at an angle that would be near impossible to catch. It was as if the ball flew in slow motion; the sound of it hitting the back of Scott's goal stick net silencing the gathered crowd.
Within a moment the entire field erupted in a loud cheer, Sam cheering for Scott as well.
"THATS MY BEST FRIEND!" Billie heard Stiles exclaim, the girl laughing loudly and turning to look up at a proud Finstock who turned his head to look at the McCall girl.
Their eyes stayed connected for a moment, the air thickening around them slightly. Billie's lips parted slightly and her cheeks reddened, she watched Finstock's eyes flicker to her lips for a moment before shaking his head and walking over to his team.
Billie's fist lifted up to the door of Finstock's office, she glanced a quick glance over her shoulder before her knuckles rapped on the wood.
"Come in." She heard from inside the office, the girl doing so.
"Hey, Coach." She said as she placed herself in the seat in front of her, the man smiling up at the girl.
"Have you got your lesson plans for tomorrow?" He asked the girl, who nodded in return to the question. He huffed out a light sigh.
Billie stared at him expectantly, waiting for him to say something else. Maybe address the tension she felt back on the lacrosse field; though she scolded herself at the mere thought of it.
"I'll see you tomorrow, Billie."
