Kazuku Uraraka

An Alternate Timeline

Deku sighed as he rode in the car next to Ochako, thinking about Haru, the man who had, seemingly, been standing in for him with his family for the last few years. He knew he didn't know the whole story, but it made him uncomfortable. Seeing his son all cuddled up with that stranger had stung.

He clenched his hands into fists, looking at Ochako, he wanted to ask her questions, but he didn't want to upset his son. So he bit his tongue, bit it so hard he tasted blood. He loved Uraraka, but he was beginning to wish he didn't. He couldn't turn his feelings off, and his, seemingly unrequited love, for Ochako kept hurting him.

"What's wrong Daddy?" Kaz asked softly

"N-nothing why?"

"You're crying."

Deku frowned, wiping his eyes "It's nothing. I'm just so excited to spend time with you and your mommy!"
Ochako frowned, gently running a hand down his side, he pulled away with a huff.

Ochako frowned, "You don't have to wear that disguise if you don't want to.. I just thought it would help."

Deku frowned at that "It's fine."
"O-okay." Ochako said softly "I love you, Dekukun."

Deku huffed "You have funny way of showing it." He grumbled

"Well.. I do." She sighed

"And I love you too Dekukun!" Kaz said with a grin

Deku smiled back at his son, "And I love you Kaz!" he looked at Ochako sadly "And I love you." his voice was weak, sad. "Even though you-Even after everything."

Ochako sighed, "Should I drop Kaz off with Haru so we can deal with this?"

Deku looked at her sadly "Yeah. Yeah. Let's do that. Drop him off with his dad!"

Ochako looked at him sadly "Is that what this is about? Deku Har-"
Ochako frowned when she smelled smoke in the back seat "Kaz?"
"Quit yelling." the child whined, "I don't like it."

"We're sorry Kaz we ju-"
"Haru isn't my daddy. Mommy said he isn't."

"No. H-he's not. Everything is okay Kazuku. We were just-"
"You're yelling!" Kaz whined as the smoke started to get thicker

"Baby, I need you to take a breath."

The child nodded, taking a deep breath with a sigh "don't yell."
"I'm sorry Kaz." Deku sighed "I will stop. I didn't mean to upset you."

Ochako huffed "Okay. So. We need to keep an eye on Kaz at all times. I am banned from one of the stores in town because I lost track of him and he burned their flower display. We also need to pay attention to his emotions. He can't regulate them on his own yet and if his emotions get out of control he sets things on fire."

Deku nodded he supposed it made sense Kaz got a fire quirk, his dad had breathed fire. "I'm sorry I just.. I guess I'm jealous."

"We'll talk about it tonight, okay?"
Deku nodded "Okay." He huffed, "I love you both."
"We love you too."
Deku frowned as they parked at the grocery store and went to get Kaz out of the car. Deku frowned as he got out of the car too.

"So is it specifically anger that makes him flare up?"
"No he'll do it if he's excited or sick too. I just figured, my house and furniture are all fire proof. If he got excited you would be able to handle it. You're number one hero."

"I am." Deku sighed "Would have been nice to know though." he said, sounding a bit frustrated
"Why are you being like this? You were handling all of this so well until we got to the facility." Ochako huffed
"Don't worry about it. Get the things you need."
