AUTHOR'S POV
Jeongyeon stood frozen in the amusement park washroom, her mind racing. She touched her cheeks, still warm from the unexpected kiss Nayeon had just given her.
They bickered, teased, and got under each other’s skin. But now, her heart was pounding, and for the first time, she couldn’t see Nayeon as the annoying woman she had always thought her to be.
Taking a deep breath, Jeongyeon left the washroom, still stunned, still confused.
Why had Nayeon kissed her?
What did it mean?
As she made her way back to her group of friends, her eyes immediately sought out Nayeon. She was standing there, a neutral expression plastered on her face as though nothing had happened. But the moment their eyes met, both of them turned red, their faces betraying their emotions.
Jeongyeon blinked, realizing it was the first time she had ever seen Nayeon flustered. Nayeon quickly looked away, her composure slipping. Jeongyeon swallowed hard, her heart beating faster.
For once, the playful annoyance she felt toward Nayeon wasn’t the same. There was something more to it now—something neither of them knew how to handle.
The group was gathered around the table having their lunch, everyone enjoyed the rides, and it was afternoon. They were laughing and talking, the atmosphere light and fun.
This time Jennie sat beside Lisa, secretly watching Jisoo, who was once again caught staring at Rosé from across the table. Jennie smirked to herself, knowing all too well about Jisoo’s lingering crush.
It wasn’t exactly subtle; Jisoo’s eyes followed Rosé’s every move, her gaze softening whenever Rosé smiled.
Rosé, picking up on Jisoo’s stare for what seemed like the hundredth time that day, decided to make things interesting.
A mischievous grin spread across her face as she leaned forward slightly, her voice teasing and sultry.
"Jisoo unnie, if you keep looking at me like that, I might start thinking you want something from me,"
Rosé purred, her eyes twinkling with amusement.
The entire table fell silent for a split second. Everyone froze, unsure how to react.
Jennie, bit her lip to stifle a laugh, but her eyes were glued to Jisoo’s reaction.
Lisa and Jeongyeon exchanged glances, trying not to burst out laughing, while Sana, Tzuyu, Dahyun, and Jihyo were wide-eyed in surprise.
Jisoo, who wasn’t expecting Rosé to be so bold in front of everyone, felt her face flush. She cleared her throat, trying to recover from the sudden wave of nervousness, but it was impossible to hide the blush creeping up her neck.
For a moment, she wasn’t sure if Rosé was joking or being serious.
Not wanting to back down, Jisoo shot Rosé a shy smile, her voice a little shaky at first but growing more confident as she spoke.
"Well, maybe I am... Maybe I just like the view,"
Jisoo said, trying to match Rosé’s teasing tone, her eyes never leaving Rosé's.
The room erupted in laughter and gasps.
Rosé’s eyes widened slightly, genuinely surprised by Jisoo’s response. She wasn’t expecting Jisoo to flirt back so boldly in front of everyone. But instead of backing down, Rosé leaned into the moment.
