Friendship between Cali, Texas and Y/n.

Don't read if you don't want spoilers for the series: A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Maas.

There is very crude humor that is aimed at Utah.

You and your bestie Cali, was curled up on the couch reading your books that you brought over for your monthly book club.

Well it was just you two so you two would read through your TBR lists together.

"Fuck you Tampon," Cali growled as he read A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J Maas.

"Already hate Tamlin?" You chuckled reading A Court of Silver Flames.

"Him and that Priestess of his. The only one I feel sorry for is Lucian but even he's getting on my nerves."

"Why?"

"Because only the Night Court has the balls to stand up to Tamlin. Feyre now but damn it took her till Mist and Fury to realize the glaring red flags?"

Texas laughed overhearing the entire conversation. "What are you two gossiping over now?"

Cali looked up. "We're discussing our books."

"Don't catch Utah seeing you with it." Texas chuckled.

You laughed. "He still mad because I recommend his wife read it?"

Texas nodded. "He's on a "corn" banning spree."

"Not my fault his wife wanted to be railed by men with a giant wing span," you replied.

"Don't we all?" Cali asked.

Texas thought about it for a minute. "Alright I'll bite, besides the sex what's it about?"

Cali grinned. He handed Texas the first book. "You read it and find out."

You two giggled with delight as Texas sat in the chair to read it.

Utah walked in about two hours later. "You buncha heathens," he scolded.

All three of you looked up at him. Not caring about Utah's hurt feelings.

"Oh come on Utah, read it," Cali offered.

"It's filth, demonic filth!" Utah crossed his arms.

Texas fixed his hat. "Dude I'm reading it and it's not that bad."

Cali laughed. "You're still in the first book, give it time."

"Well I met Rhysand, I want to hate him but I just can't." Texas said with a smile. "He's mischievous."

"Yay he's on Team Rhys," you celebrated.

Utah had a look of disgust on his face. "You all need to pray right now."

"What pray for all three bat boys to show up?" Cali asked him.

Texas looked over at him. "Wait; wait there's 3 of them?"

You nodded. "Cassian and Az. You won't meet them till the second book."

Texas chuckled. "Well alright I'll get to reading then."

Utah was not happy. "Don't you care that filth will ruin your brain? What if someone's sees you reading it?"

You three shrugged at that question.

You spoke. "Utah sweetie, my brain was already ruined when I read fan fiction smut at fifteen."

"I did too," Cali said. "I read 50 Shades of Grey and thought it was dark."

You giggled. "I think we all made that mistake before."

Utah looked genuinely disgusted. "Isn't there something you can read that isn't filth? If your gonna read it can you at least go to like your rooms or something.

Texas looked over at him. "That sounds boring. What's the fun in that?"

"Yeah what if we want to openly discuss the books we read with each other?"  You asked him.

"Besides," Cali said. "He's just mad because we want to be railed by all three bat boys."

"You'd let them run a train on you?" Texas asked him.

Cali made a noise that sounded like a train horn making you three laugh.

Utah gulped down vomit. "I'll just pray for you."

"Good now go away," You told him.

Utah made a face then waked out causing you three to laugh at his reaction.

Cali then returned to his book and screamed with delight. "Oh fuck yeah, you deserved you little fucking bitch!"

You laughed knowing it was the scene when Feyre fed Tamlin's Priestess to the Weaver but didn't want to spoil it for Texas.

"Don't spoil it!" Texas warned him. "But is it a good scene?"

Cali laughed and nodded happily. "Yes. A certain character deserves it. I'll just say that."

Indiana's voice came from the door. "Got room for two more?"

You three looked up seeing him and Oregon with the same series.

"Of course. Come on and join the Book Court," you said.

"That's what we're calling it now?" Cali laughed.

Texas chuckled. "Well why not?"

And that is how your book club became a weekly thing at the Statehouse.
