Chapter 10

The air was chilly, all I could see was darkness. "I am not going back." I say to myself. My phone rang, I picked it up and looked at the name- Calvin. Without thinking I answered it. "What the hell do you want?" I say. "I want you! I want you back... " I stopped him in between his words. "Just stop, bye." Before he could get another word in I hanged up. I had a cab's phone number on speed dial so I called it. The cab was there within ten minutes. "Where to?" He asked. It was a good question. "Um... The airport." I say before I could even think. "Okay to the airport!" The cab driver said. I looked at my phone. All flights pulled up I scrolled my finger down and pointed. New York City. Eleven pm. I could still make it.

"Thank you!" I say and slammed the door and ran inside almost hitting the desk. "One ticket to New York eleven o' clock fight." I say in a rush. "Ninety dollars." The clerk said in a monotoned voice. I hand over the money and she gives me the ticket. I dash to the gate number with only five minutes before take off. Then my phone rang- Calvin. "Where are you?!?" He asked panicked. "Somewhere where you will never find me." I say. "I know you. I know where you're going." He said in a harsh voice. "Well don't find me." I hanged up and sat in my seat... I was finally going to be free.
