YOU COULD SAY THAT LIFE BECAME MUCH MORE COLOURFUL AFTER HIGH SCHOOL, maybe it was because we all moved together to go to the university we surprisingly all got accepted to, or maybe it was because I was finally happy and felt complete with how things turned out.

Suguru and I are still together, happily in fact.
It was our three-year anniversary not too long ago, and we have been living together since we moved to university.

"I haven't seen you two in a hot minute," Gojo smirked at us while he took another sip from his cocktail which caused Suguru and me to let out a laugh.

"Talk shit, we were at your place last night. You were just too drunk to remember." Suguru furrowed his eyebrows with a chuckle.

"Where was our invite?" Shoko and (1) acted upset before laughing it off due to being too drunk at the moment.

"If you picked up your phone when I called you, you would have been there." Gojo shrugged and struggled to speak proper sentences.

"And you, (2)? Where have you been." I asked them since I truthfully hadn't seen them for more than a month.

"Studying, but it got to the point where I wasn't leaving my house." they tried laughing it off before Gojo butted in drunkenly.

"Yeah, I had to basically drag you out of your house today!" he cackled obnoxiously and I exchanged a deadpan with (1).

"Let's make a pact to not let Gojo drink that much again." (1) stared at Gojo in pity.

"Looks like he's sleeping at your place, we can't let him drive home," Shoko spoke to (2) and they sighed.

"My partner isn't going to be too pleased." they leaned their head against their hand that stood on the table.

"We'll walk with you." (1) offered and (2) accepted happily.

"Are you two walking home from here too?" Shoko asked Suguru and me and he answered for us.

"Yeah, but I think we will stop by the beach to sober up." he checked his watch and grimaced at the time displayed.

"Go skinny dipping." (2) suggested with a cheeky grin.

"That's a great idea." Shoko giggled along with them.

"Dude, my balls are going to shrivel up." Suguru laughed, but his response to it all just showed that he wasn't up for skinny dipping at the beach.

"The water is warm this time of the year, don't be boring." (2) egged him on and he rolled his eyes.

"I'll think about it." he brushed it off.

Suguru and I practically fell out of the bar with our friends, and all of us were obviously past the point of tipsy.

We bid our goodbyes to everyone and I locked my arm around Suguru's so we could catch each other if we tripped.

The wind blew a cold front, just enough to make the tips of our noses cold, but when the air was still, it returned to warm and humid.

The roads had a blue hue to them due to the moon being full and she watched over us as we stumbled our way towards the beach.

Once the sand squeaked beneath our shoes, we took them off and played them on a neat pile of our jackets.

I pulled Suguru towards the shore and let my feet dance along the water with his.

"The water is warm, what do you think, baby?" he hinted at skinny dipping, which he had opposed only an hour ago.

"Should we get in?" I suggested and he nodded excitedly.

"Let's get in." he yanked me away from the shallow waters.

We both ran towards our pile of jackets and shoes and swiftly stripped down, leaving us in our underwear as we sprinted back towards the water.

The world was quiet, the gusts died down and the air was still, the only sounds that could be heard were our laughs and the small waves crashing at the shore.

The moon tried to hug the sea, which brought the tide far back and left the beach with an almost flat ocean.

We stood waist-deep in the water and our bodies were pressed up against each other in search of comforting warmth.

"The moon is beautiful, isn't it?" he looked up at her, the moon, and then returned his low gaze to me.
Behind his words hid a meaning that felt all too familiar to me, and I could tell that he was hinting at a deeper meaning due to his subtle grin.

"It is, Suguru. And I love you too." I wrapped my arms around his neck and played with his now-long hair.

"I knew you'd know that." he smiled like he had just been caught out by a surprise.

"Why'd you say it?" I asked out of curiosity.

"Nobody's promised tomorrow, I just want to make sure that I love you as if it were the last night that I could." he stroked my cheek and brought his face closer to mine, but I knew he wasn't done speaking because he hadn't kissed me yet.

"I know you want to say something more," I whispered and his low eyes and smile curved upwards after being given permission to continue.

"So, if the world was ending, I'd want to be next to you." the cold tips of our noses touched, and our mouths practically begged to meet.

"I love you always, Suguru." I smiled before kissing him

And during the sweet kiss, he pulled away to say one final thing.

"I LOVE YOU FOREVER Y/N."
