Wrote this poem about my youth theatre
I remember this
Lights out then blackout
Walking into stars
Walking through the park
Daisies everywhere
Happy place right here
I remember this
Grew up in your mind
Myself through your eyes
I knew you would never
Let me be alone
Mending broken trust
I remember this
Holding on to you
In the darkest times
You would help me through
You would give me hope
There's still love to find
I remember this
Love for the first time
Friends at the right times
Friends all around me
Holding tight to them
Learning to be me
I remember this
Standing on this stage
Tears on this doorstep
Growing into love
Growing into me
You let me feel loved
I remember this
Each different hello
Too many goodbyes
Watching as time flies
A new way to grow
Chosen family
I remember this
Blackout then lights up
We're becoming stars
Daytime in the park
Flowers in her hair
Happy place was there
