Maria woke up due to her alarm continuously ringing, she moved towards her phone and pressed stop. Maria was not a morning person. she hated waking up in the mornings. she picked up her phone and sat up in her bed. and all she saw was messages from people. she got confused since people shes never spoken to— texted her.
She looked at the previews of the messages and saw everyone say 'happy birthday' she then looked at the date. January 16
Today is her birthday. Her quinceañera, she was turning 15 years old. She didnt even realise it was her birthday already.
She got dressed up for the day, she wondered why her schedule was full today. Her manager should atleast give her some time off.
Shes been working so much lately— to the point she doesn't get enough sleep.
Maria took her time eating her breakfast while scrolling through her feed when she got a facetime call from rel.
She pressed the green button only to see him smiling and then proceeding to sing for her.
"Happy birthday to youuu happy birthday to youuu happy birthday dear amariii happy birthday to you" He sang for her with hes strong british accent.
"Okay now you didn't have to do all dat, where my gifts at" She said while placing her phone so she can wash her dishes.
"No thank you? Then no gifts" rel said, "nigga dont play with me, i will be waiting for my dior" maria said smiling with her tongue out
"Happy birthday ho I already sent some roses to your crip" Mia said right after she joined the call.
"I swear your so husband material lets get married" maria states, "absolutelyyyy not bitch I got someone this time" mia says smiling with her index finger in her mouth.
"Omg no way you got another nigga wrapped around ur finger??" maria says finally finishing her dishes since she cant multitask.
"Okay ho ntm on me this one actually likes me and i like him simple" she says, "you say that with every single one damn" rel mumbles, "huh whatchu say?" mia says, "he definitely said some shit to me square up bitch" she says again
"Alright hollon now it's my birthday no shit talking to each other but anyways" maria says, "aight what do we got planned for ur special dayy are we doing a girly girl party or maybe like a big party where we invite dave oh my days maybe like-" she gets cut by maria
"Chill ion wanna do anything" maria says sitting in her couch staring at her white walls infront of her, "its your quinceañera love you gotta go all out" rel says
"I cant though.. it feels wrong, if I celebrate it wont feel right without him I cant, I have never celebrated my birthday without him" maria says almost tearing up. She was talking about notti.
Shes not wrong, she always celebrated her birthdays with notti. Since his birthday was a day after hers— they would always celebrate it together.
It didn't feel right to enjoy her birthday this year. Is it always gonna be like this on my birthday? she thought.
"We understand even though its your quince— dont push yourself to celebrate" mia said with a serious look.
Mia was like an older sister amari never had—matter of fact amari was an only child which is why dd,ddot and notti always were with her.
She thought of them as her brothers, well except dd. She always had a thing for him. They dated for a while but amari broke up with him because it was like she was the only one putting effort in their relationship.
He had hoes everywhere, to the point amari realised she was just a side.
She remembers the time she broke up with dd and she was the one crying about it to notti. Notti was her best friend she could tell him anything.
he wouldn't mind cuz he really liked amari not only as a friend but more. He knew amari never thought of him that way, until right after her breakup with dd they were watching netflix sitting on nottis bed with snacks on the middle of the hes king sized bed.
there was a tension between them. It was an unexplainable one. Notti looked at amari and saw she was already staring at him, he felt like kissing her.
He knew it was wrong since she just ended her relationship, but he couldn't handle him self. he liked her actually no, he loved this girl.
He hated the fact that hes own brother didn't see that this girl was special, she had potential in her. She was caring, loving, she was just perfect. how come he didnt see that?
As he got closer to kiss her he saw her hesitate but eventually got closer too
And the rest continues from there. They kissed, but decided not to talk about it again even though they both found out they had a thing for each other
They were still kids—they still dont know how to express their emotions and all
