The Morrigan: Locations and Creatures

Hey, hey my beautiful people! ;)

As you can see from the title this isn't an actual chapter. Now I was going to wait until September 30th when the voting was over, but it's been quite obvious you guys want this so I decided to skip the voting and just post this now.

Plus with the amount of effort I put into this I felt it would be a shame not to share it with you all. The Morrigan is an important location in this fanfic as it's Blaiddyd's personal domain where he has absolute control over all things that reside within it.

Now there's a ton of detail and The Morrigan is massive with a large population to boot. I know that in the game there was only a certain amount of data per guild base and only so many npc's worth of points could be used. However since I've already ignored a few of these facts i'll just continue to do so. Let's say that Blaiddyd used real money to expand the data and gain enough points for the amount of NPC's that exist in The Morrigan. WOW look at that problem solved! Lol

Another thing, just because I am putting a ton of detail into The Morrigan and the many creatures that fill it that doesn't mean Blaiddyd will be interacting with every location or creature. I'm simply detailing all of this to give The Morrigan life. The majority of the creatures and the locations in The Morrigan will be living in the background of the story never actually being mentioned. So don't worry about me adding too much stuff here since most of it will never actually be covered during the story.

Now moving on, i would have preferred to draw The Morrigan, but unfortunately i have little skill when it comes to drawing or anything of the sort. Instead I will be using my words and maybe some pictures.

Like I said I would like to draw it but I suck so I'll explain it and the easiest way to do that is to cut The Morrigan into sections, specifically six sections/regions/zones whatever you wanna call them it'll be into six. It will go like this:

South
North
West
East
Central
Underground

These are the six sections and within each section there will be places of interest. I'll also mention that most of the beasts in The Morrigan are based off of fantasy, mythology or video games like Bloodborne and Elden Ring. Now let's get into the Lore of The Morrigan itself.

Lore: The Morrigan was once a vast land that held beautiful plains, hills, rivers, lakes, forests and mountainous terrain. Its people proud and land prosperous. A domain full of people who in the name of the Gods of Asgard killed monsters and evil spirits.

One day two wolves in the shape of man stumbled upon the land. One was female and the other male. They looked exhausted almost as if they had chased after the moon and sun.

Upon entering a village in the centre of this beautiful domain, they found themselves in love with its people and their culture. The people unaware of who they had greeted and welcomed in showered the two in love and affection.

However one day the two saw the village's local hunters strolling in with carts full of dead wolves followed by others locked in cages wounded and whimpering. Pups were dragged across the ground as rope was tied around their necks.

When the two demanded to know what the people were doing the response they received shocked them. "They're monsters, of course they need to be put down like the dogs they are. There is no need to feel sorry for them".

The wolves had done nothing wrong though! In the mind of the two visitors these creatures were just surviving. Sure they killed the people's cattle and livestock, attacking those who wandered into their territory, but that didn't mean they were monsters. They were simply trying to survive. The humans had claimed so much land themselves that it was no wonder the wolves encroached into their farms and villages.
