What a terrible day.
First, some knucklehead with obviously two brain cells decides to bump into me and spill the contents of my leftover spaghetti filled tupperware. Then, Ms. Purah randomly announces that she's going to assign each and everyone of us a four-page double sided essay on what, some Sheikah inventions from thousands of years ago? How could this day possibly get worse?
I stared out of the window as dark storm clouds gathered overhead, droplets of water acing down windows. I can hear the sound of raindrops clattering against the roof.
"How's raining sound for the start of winter break?" I thought miserably as I rested my head against the table.
It was the last period of school for the day, and even though I had only been in my English class for 30 minutes, listening to Mr. Symin's annoying and boring voice rambled on and on about the beauty of the Hylian language or whatever was starting to get to me.
"Zelda?"
"Zelda!"
As I began to drift off, my eyes closing, I heard a thick voice that could only ever be recognized as Mr. Symin's.
"Zelda?"
"Zelda Harkinian! Do you hear me?"
"Mm," I mumbled.
"I said," he repeated, "You're tutoring Mr. Forrester."
What in Hylia's name did he just say? Tutoring someone? Forrester? Huh, the name sounds familiar.
"What?" I uttered in disbelief. The classroom fell silent. I could feel everyone's gaze land on me. I hear Urbosa sigh from the seat next to mine. The raindrop began pounding on the roof faster and faster. At least the weather sympathized with my emotions.
"He said you're tutoring Link," I heard someone say. I turned around and saw Tetra with a smirk on her face. I chose to ignore her. I turned back towards the front of the class and Mr. Symin. "Link?" Screw whoever that was. "Why me?" I questioned.
"Well," Mr. Symin started, "You have the highest grades in English. I read your essay last week," he reasoned.
I grumbled in response. I suppose this is the downside to getting good grades. That, and being called a nerd. I also had no more energy to argue with Mr. Symin. "Fine." I groaned and I sat down, slumping in my chair as Mr. Symin dismissed everyone. Speaking of which, it just had to be Link. Him. Link Forrester, from last summer. As I made my way to the front of the classroom, out the door, and into the crowded school halls, my mind came to a realization that I hadn't remembered in class.
Link Forrester is a jock.
My thoughts were interrupted for the second time in 3 minutes as I saw a boy waving and trying to get my attention across the hall. "Zel!" he yelled. Zel? As far as I was concerned, the only people who actually called me Zel were my brother, his 'friend' and my friends. Sorry, CLOSE friends.
I muttered under my breath as I padded over to him, making my way through the crowd. It wasn't until I got to him that I realized how tall he was compared to me. As a matter of fact, he looked 5'9" or maybe even 6' with his sneakers.
"So, when's the first tutoring session?" he asked, grinning. There was no doubt about it. Of course, out of all the people in the school, it had to be him. Captain of the soccer team from the looks of it. He had long blonde hair, with multiple hair clips and a single visible blue-hooped earring on his right ear. Inside his varsity jacket, he was wearing a plain white shirt with blue jeans and his navy sneakers.
"Link, huh?" I said to him, an unamused expression on my face. "Yep! That's me!" He grinned again.
Hmm. So either he's an idiot, or he forgot about everything that happened.
