"Wow," I say to Coryn as I stare at the view before me.

"Yeah, it's pretty great. I love coming here in the mornings and watching the sunrise." He says walking up to me.

I turn to him, "I mean it is great but why didn't you go with the rest of your kind to the island?"

"I don't know I guess because this view is too good to let go and I didn't get along with my kind anyway. So it just made sense to stay here hidden and not seen."

I feel a twinge in my chest. 'I've felt that way before whenever my brothers were watching me get hurt by Father.' I think to myself as I turn and look back to look at the view. Just as I turn I notice the sky is turning lighter by the second. "Hey, what time is it?" I ask discarding his statement.

"It's just about 4 am why?" Coryn asks as he turns to face me.

"Shit, I got to get back to my camp," I say as I turn and start to run splintering pain shoots up my leg. I fall over in the process and just bearly catch myself.

Coryn runs over, "No offense but I don't think you can walk much less run back to your camp with your leg. I cut pretty deep and might have cut your ligament. I am sorry."

I laugh at that. "Stop saying sorry for protecting yourself. It is what it is."

"Well even so you can't walk back to your home the normal way like this. You'll have to take the shortcut." Coryn says as he looks up from my leg.

"Oh yeah, what kind of shortcut?" I ask my face in an accusing way.

"Oh, you'll see," Coryn says with a happy smile and snaps his fingers. Just as he does, I only see darkness.

I feel dizzy. Like I'm flying but can control where I am going. It feels like I am darkness forever. I can't grab ahold of anything. I feel like I might throw up but just as I am about to start up chucking my dinner with the king everything stops.

Soon the dizzyness absides and it feels like I am sitting against a dirt wall. It's still dark and as I try to get up I hear Coryn say, "Elise you must stay sitting. I will get light in just a second," It sounds like he talking to himself almost, "Just have to find the medic things, where did I put them?" I almost laugh at that last part. Then all of a sudden there is light and I can see my surroundings.

I am sitting against a dirt wall looking in on a room that looks like a living room and a digning room. There is a small table pushed off to the side with 4 chairs all around it. Coryn is rummaging in what looks to be an old broken cupboard throwing things out over his shoulder.

"Ah ha! I found it." Coryn says pulling out a small bottle with a bright pink substance in it. "Here all you have to do is drink the whole thing and you will feel good enough to travel the rest of the way back to your home. You will still feel pain when the remedy has to warn off but it will last long enough." He says as he steps around his mess on the floor and heads the bottle to me.

I grab the bottle and ask, "So it's like liquid painkillers?"

"Exactly, drink up."

Not feeling like arguing I pop the cork off the small bottle and take a whiff. It smells like sugar and vinegar. I plug my nose and put the bottle into my mouth. The liquid hits my mouth and I want to gag. I can swallow but gag a couple of times once it goes down. "That was truly awful stuff. I never want to taste that again." I say looking at Coryn.

"Yes it does taste pretty bad but you should start to feel better any minute." And just as Coryn says the pain goes away. I go to stand up and I feel no pain.

"That's incredible," I say smiling and start to walk around the room.

"Yes it is but you must now get back to your home. Where do you live and I will teleport you close by?"

"You can do that." I asked stunned, "Then why didn't you teleport me right away?"

"Because the farther you teleport the more toll it takes on your body and you were already in a lot of pain so I wanted to give you some relief before."

"I guess that makes sense. I live in the town of Retheyssa. Do you know it?" I ask as I walk up to him.

"Oh, you don't live far from me at all. That is close. I can get you there very quickly. Let's go." Before I can say anything Coryn grabs my arm and I feel as though I am falling and there is no stop. This time it feels longer than the first time. It feels as though it's been 30 minutes by the time I can feel the ground underneath my feet. I keep my eyes closed and just listen to the wind breeze through the trees and the chirps from the birds waking up.

I stand there for a minute until I feel a tap on my arm, I see Coryn standing there waiting for me. "You just have to walk north and you will be in town in about 15 minutes."

"Thank you Coryn it means a lot that you did this. I hope we stay in contact threw the years."

"I hope so too Elise. But you better be off before the sun rises or you might get caught." Just as Coryn finishes he vanishes in front of my eyes. I look around trying to find Coryn seeing if he just hid behind a tree. I see nor hear anything, looking around confused. I look up at the sky and see the sun slowly start creeping up past the trees.

'Shit, I got to go. I wonder if the guys are up?' I ask myself as I start jogging north trying to get to the camp. Hoping the others aren't waking up.
