Uncharted Water

A tempest rages, calm within my chest,
Her words, a siren's song, a lover's quest.
I float on clouds, a dream so sweet and pure,
Yet shadows creep, a darkness to endure.

This joy unknown, a treasure newly found,
A golden key to unlock silent ground.
But fear's cold hand, a constant, icy grip,
Whispers of loss, a future steep and slip.

How can such beauty bring such deep despair?
A paradox of heart, beyond compare.
I'm lost at sea, in waves of sweet and sour,
This love, a tempest, every passing hour.

I've lived in shades of grey, a muted scene,
A world of quiet, colorless and keen.
She paints my life with hues I've never known,
A vibrant canvas, where my heart has grown.

But with this bloom, a chilling dread takes root,
A fragile blossom, destined to be moot.
This ecstasy, a fleeting, borrowed light,
Consuming hope, and casting shadows bright.

I yearn to hold this moment, pure and deep,
To silence doubt, and let my spirit sleep.
But time, a thief, will steal this precious art,
And leave me shattered, broken-hearted.

I'm caught in currents, swirling, wild and deep,
A fragile vessel, adrift in troubled sleep.
Her love, a beacon, guiding through the night,
But darkness looms, eclipsing guiding light.

I'm drowning slowly in this sea of bliss,
A sweet surrender, a painful abyss.
Can heart withstand such overwhelming force?
Or will it shatter, leaving no remorse?

A prisoner of joy, a captive of fear,
A battlefield of hope, where doubts appear.
I'm lost in mazes of delight and pain,
A soul adrift, in love's tempestuous rain.

I crave the solace of a tranquil shore,
Where waves of passion gently kiss the core.
But storms within, tumultuous and wild,
Threaten to drown this innocent child.
